I love dogs and wanted to start a doggie day care business from home. I then thought that it would take up too much time and might get some unwanted reactions from neighbors so I thought about providing dog info via the internet for a small fee. What do you think?

Hi sharpei7,
What exactly do you mean by "dog info"?

You will want to do some research online to find out what is out there already, what is successful and what is not being provided.
You want to find a niche to target that isn't being met. Then you will have success!
Start by using the tools available at overture.com
Good Luck!

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I haven't had my computer running in a while but anyway I wanted to provide dog care tips, behavior issues and dog treats via an internet business. I am still hoping to open up a dog day care facility as well but that may be a few months away from now. Thanks for all of your feedback.

There is definitely opportunity available in the pet field and specifically related to dogs as well.
You have a few different options, once you narrow down your research for
pockets of demand a little tighter:
1. Write a report or ebook on dog care tips that you could sell from your
own website - and start to build cusotmer and subscriber lists. You could
eventually roll this into a payed membership site.
2. Develop content like crazy for the next month, and launch a membership website right away, knowing it will take 4-6 months to really
get humming.
3. Develop a minicourse (series of emails) and weekly or bi-weekly newsletter that you can use to build a subscriber list - you can then survey them, market them affiliate products and eventually market them your membership site when you roll it out.
It was already mentioned, but here is the Overture Keyword Analysis
Tool - http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
You can use this to check out keyword demand (number of searches per
month per keyword) to give you an idea of what people are looking for.
Good news is that there are lots of searches under "dog care" "dog care
product" "take care of dog", etc...
Hope this helps...
Jeff
