I know everyone has their favorite, but
I got Frontpage 2003 and I really like it.
But people are now telling me that if I
could have got DreamWeaver, I should have.
And I still can!

Is there a major difference between the two?

Thanks,
Sam

I would never use frontpage ... I bought it ... paid almost $200.00 and guess what ... it is still in the box. Never opened it. I use HTML TOOL-Kit by Chami.com. It works great for me!!!

Well, so you never actually looked at fp2003, though, right?
Because I was curious if someone could tell me if there's
a big benefit of one over the other. I looked at the html-toolkit
and while I agree it's the best thing going for coders for the
price, I just find the wysiwyg of things like fp so much quicker
and easier.

Thanks again,
Sam

Yes, I have used Frontpage before ... I just never had it on my personal computer at home ... I finally decided to purchase it so I would have it on my computer and in the mean time ... while Microsoft piddled around with getting it to me ... I found HTML TOOL-Kit ... which is a FREE SOFTWARE.

So to answer your question .. .yues I have used it ... and I don't like it ... it enters extra coding in your pages as well. HTML TOOL-Kit is the best answer ... and it is FREE!

Frontpage is more basic, and it was designed to work hand in hand with MS Word and other MS Office application - Microsoft as usual - so some function are limited.

Frontpage also puts a lot of other codes and formatting - as usual Microsoft - so its fine to build basic pages (ie direct response pages)

Then again I olny used it in 2000, b4 I switched to Dreamveaver. DV is more advanced and can do all kinds of stuff. The whole Macromedia suite is excellent.
