Has anyone else noticed? All the posts for October and most of November seem to have disappeared down some Internet black hole. Let's get Vishal on the case. Smile

Yes Hermas, I noticed it! I'm in touch with the hosting people but they don't seem to have any clue about how it happened Embarassed I hate databases Crying or Very sad

Probably this one looks like a lesson to me that one should not depend on your hosting company when they say they take daily backups. You MUST take backups yourself, say once in a week.

What tough luck, Vishal!

It's situations like these that support the expression: If you want something done right do it yourself. On the other hand, the Jack-of-all-trades is master of none. Allowing others to do what they are good at doing works, until someone drops the ball. That's when chaos usually ensues.

Isn't it ironic that today's technology is loaded with features to save us time, make us more efficient and our lives more convenient, as long as all goes well. But when the inevitable snafu occurs, it throws us for a loop and we often crash and burn.

And we call this progress. Confused

Fortunately there's ALWAYS a benefit to be found in the lesson that hides in the details.

And so it goes...

My entire profile was wiped, none of the threads I posted in are here any more, and I had to re-registair. Sad

Sorry to hear about the problem. The moral of the story: Alway do you own backups Wink

Hi Marc!

I'm really sorry about that! I'll be shifting my site to a new host because of this shortly.

Best wishes,
