Hi Vishal & evryone...

Could you recommend me a CMS software that is:

1) Stratighforward to Use
2) Not too high a learning curve (I am a beginner)
3) Search engine friendly ie. able to produce static pages with proper file names.
4) Inclusive or link directory script/ function
5) Most importantly, it must be free, or really cheap

Thanks...

Hi Gobala,

I spent almost a day searching for a good content management system but couldn't find one that matches all your requirements. However, here are some contenders:

Lore
PHP-Nuke
PostNuke

Lore is search engine friendly and regarding PHP-Nuke and PostNuke, you will have to search for mods that'll make them search engine friendly.

I would love inputs from other members regarding this.

Best wishes,

Hi Vishal,

I have been wanting to reply to this for long, but circumstances only allowed me to get to it now.

Thanks for your advice, but being the proactive me Very Happy I have also found out about some good CMS and have already started getting familiar with them.

For the benefit of readers some CMS not mentioned above:

1) Mambo: http://www.mamboserver.com
2) Read reviews and find your preferred CMS: http://www.cmsmatrix.org

Once again Vishal thanks for the input.
