Hey Vishal Smile

I honestly think that you should look into a way in have your articles syndicated with RSS feeds, javascript, or whatever..

You write them frequently, they all have an enorumus impact on people (well they usually do with me at least), and I could almost bet anything that you'll have many takers.. I would definitly be one of them!

Diane Hughes has one at http://www.probiztips.com/syndicate.html that's a simple javascript code.. I personally don't know how to do this, but I know Diane, and she's a sweety.. I bet she'd tell you in no time flat Smile

But this is what I recommend, because quite frankly, it'll just give you THAT much more exposure to your site, and you'll have many takers as well because RSS feeds is all the frenzy now-a-days..

Warmest Regards,

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the info Very Happy Here's why I'm not impressed with RSS feeds...

Though it might give you additional visitors from clicks from the links in your resource box, I think it won't benefit much in terms of search engine rankings. RSS's use Javascript to display articles, and these are not spidered by search engines.

For the very same reason, it may not be wise to use RSS feeds for your site too, because although you'll be providing aditional content to your visitors, they will not be spidered by search engines and hence it won't do any good to your site's search engine ranking.

Search engines need spiderable content and adding content regularly to your site (by creating real pages) is the only way to go.

Any body with a different view?

Best wishes,

Vishal

Hey Vishal Smile

I was looking into this, and found that your can create RSS feeds by using XML, which as you may already know, does in fact get spidered..

I found a couple good resources about it that ay interest you Vishal Smile

http://searchenginewatch.com/sereport/article.php/2175271

Also, an example of an xml RSS feed at Search Engine Watch can be found at:
http://searchenginewatch.com/sew.xml

Another thing that caught my eye which is interesting.. Even though I know Google is your "primary source" of traffic, take a look at the listing in yahoo for "Search Engine Watch".. It's interesting to see what they are doing now with this..

http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=search+engine+watch&ei=UTF-8&fr=fp-tab-web-t&cop=mss&tab=

It has where they are listed in the directory, and also has the "Rss Feed" section in Beta.. I wouldn't have thought about this, but was pointed to it at a search engine forum...

Anyways, it's your decision. I just thought it may be something you might look into..

Warmest Regards,
Jason Gazaway
