There are many companies that are scams, but there are also a few honest companies. I've been working with my business now for a few months and have seen how it works and have experienced it. It does take time and hard effort, and I was also secptical at first. What companies have you looked at.

I've looked at soo many,, to name a few, Herbalife, under so many different websites, affiliates, Melaleuca, Shaklee, Goji Juice, Xango, Emerald passport, United American Insurance, Pips, Data Entry secretarial work, Coastal Vacations, Pre paid legal, Plug in profit sites, Marketing companies various, mentoring companies, ups/fedex refund recovery programs, medical billing, and the list goes on. Do you know of a Legitimate co, where I can make, and will make a steady , Good Income, not peanuts, like some of the companies listed above. I would appreciate any honest info you could give me to make an informative decision.

What exactly are you looking for? Work at home jobs or businesses? There is lot of difference between them. A business is like a business; your income is directly proportional to the amount of work you put into it. Whereas in a job, you get paid a fixed amount for some specific activity.

You can't work a business like a job. If you treat a business like a job, you'll most likely be dissappointed.

All the companies you mentioned above don't offer jobs but business opportunities.

There are many excellent opportunities available. You just need to do your research and realize you HAVE TO WORK AT YOU, not the other way around!

Vishal makes a critical distinction: job vs business. At this point, you sound like you might favor a job. Steady hours, steady income. Some of the more reputable sites for work at home JOBS includes 2-work-at-home.com, guru.com, and tjobs.com. This type of arrangement is sometimes called telecommuting. However, no one gets rich telecommuting. If you don't work - you don't get paid.

Some people have made millions in the "opportunities" you mentioned. For example, if you had gotten in on Xango EARLY and worked VERY HARD you would have a very serious home business income today. However, Xango and the other opportunities you mentioned have far surpassed their prime. Just keep looking and studying and you will learn how to manage your time better. Then you can settle on a few areas and start a serious home business. For me, I put most of my efforts into studying stock options and network marketing. You might prefer investing in real estate and currency - who knows, just keep looking and find what appeals to YOU!

I think the only way you are probably going to find a work at home job is by finding a local company that will allow you to do your work from home. It won't hurt to check in the newspaper.

I see so many posts of this list asking about jobs. It depends on what you want to do. I work from home answering phones. I did not pay any money and I work from home and get a bi weekly pay depending on my work. I work when I want and according to need. I work for three separate companies but I know that there are even more out there. You can email me if you are interested in customer service calls and orders. [email protected]

Yes, it can be a frustrating ordeal--trying to find a way to earn money working from home. There is no "get rich quick" schemes, as some would like us to believe. It is important to decide if you want a steady dependable paycheck (job) or an Internet business (opportunity). I personally love the freedom of my Internet business. I work when I want, play with my family when I want, and still have a good income every month. It took effort and some time, but it was well worth it.
