Hola. ^_^

Okay, so like...(yes...I AM from California and the 80's Embarassed )...recently I started talking with a couple of fellow writers and we decided that to help promote some of our artwork, we'd put together several small magazines featuring the work of varied artists...sort of a cooperative effort.

In the process of doing so however, I was polietly (please note sarcasm loaded on that particular word) informed that I could not do this without a printer's licence?

Now...I've a friend who has worked in a printshop for...well...as long as I've known him. Roughly fifteen years. I often go to him when I have a question about printing issues and he either fills me in or gets the information i need from the other folks that work in the shop. When I asked him what a printer's licence was...he was stumped.

If we wanted to self publish our magaizines...would we have to have a printer's licence to do so?

Depending on the cost of licencing and such, I'm actually considering having our garage converted into a small printshop. It's this licencing issue that's really got me fluxumed though. If anyone can tell me what sorts of licencing and suchlike are required for a person to legally print and distribute material...I"d very much appreciate their feedback.

Thanks so much!

Smile
