I publish my articles to Triond. It pays the best for the pageviews (50% of the revenues from the ads on your content pages), looks much better than Helium, and is easier to use than AC. Give it a shot. There's no word minimum (just don try to post one-liners) and they put your articles on niche sites in their network.
ezineartciljpolito830: How about Ezine articles? Can you get paid to write for this site? Ezine doesn't pay but it's good for promoting your own site.
I started out writing for Helium, but it only works well if you can get TONS of people to view your articles and rate them as the best. In 1 year, I accumulated $13 on about 25 articles...Not exactly a good income, but it got me started writing. Now I use a variety of places to get projects....Get A Freelancer, Elance, and my favorite, Scriptlance. I tried Guru, but couldn't ever get the hang of everything. I also use Craigslist and job boards like FreelanceWritingGigs.com. Many people out there have blogs and jobs boards for writers. I've also moved from writing articles to also doing blog posts, ebooks, proofreading, sales copy, and website content.
