Ok, I am new to this and am really hoping to find something legit.
Working from home is really important to me because of my four kids.
Can anyone offer anything or help steer me in the right direction?

The best advice I can give to someone who's just getting into the home business arena is not to join every program you see online. There are so many programs with great sales letters that would love to take your money. My suggestion is to talk to people who are already invoved in programs to find out what is good and bad. If you'd like to talk more about your home business, feel free to email me, teddybear.

Teddybear,
My 2 cents:
1) Find out what your are good at and love doing. Even if you are not good at something, but would love to do it, then that's a great start. As Vishal would advice you not to go for all those opportunities out there because the market is saturated. Although i would not agree with him on that, I do agree on his advice that you should find what you love doing first. Then, you can either:
2) Start your own business from scratch, eg Making Candles
3) Find a "Candle Making Opportunity" if there is such a thing. The difference is that these opportunities usually already have an established business system so that lowers your risk. It is also a great way to start and get business knowledge.
4) Whether u choose 2 or 3, you need a simple business plan as a guidence.
You can brwose through ideas here: http://www.home-based-business-opportunities.com/library/id-index.shtml and this is a good article http://www.home-based-business-opportunities.com/library/misc101-scams.shtml
Another advice is to get feedback from others buying any software system. Look for testimonials, success stories and reviews. The best way is to search in forums like this one. If many people recommend something it's most probably good.
Thas all I have. Feel free to ask anything in detail.
