Hi

I am a self employed contractor in the cash register/software business in Australia. At times work can be busy but it can also have very quiet periods where I am without an income. I have spent some time on the net looking into work from home typing/data entry, as this sounds like a perfect way for me generate some extra income to pay the bills. My wife would also be interested in doing this also. However, all of the companies require a one time startup fee to register. I am quite happy to pay this if they are a genuine company that will provide me the work they advertise and not take my money and run. I have registered on www.etypingjobs.com to become an ad placer and have had no response from them to activate my account in more than 2 days after paying directly with paypal. I am beginning to become scared they have taken my money and will not reply. I have a list of websites that sound like what I want to do and am wondering if anyone has any info on whether they are legitimate or not and whether they will give you work as they say to type and then pay per ad placed/typing assignment completed or whether the typist is required to place ads and recruit other typers to make an income (as with so many other chain scams on the net). In short I am happy to do data entry, typing, ad placing or email sorting for any legitimate company that will pay per ad/email/document etc. Following is a list of websites I had in mind to register with and I would appreciate any info on any company listed or suggestions on who to go with:

www.typeinternational.com
www.adtypingjobs.com
www.cashjunkies.com
www.globalhometypists.net
www.keytappers.com

All of these websites require a signup fee and I have been advised (through much web browsing) never to sign up if it costs. Please advise if anyone knows of any legitimate work I can do from home doing typing/data entry duties.
Thanks

Hi,
I can give you a little info. on typeinternational. It's a little contradictory but I've read far more good than bad. There is a ripoff.com report with 2 complaints but first one seems a bit obscure to me. There are also 2 rebuttals to these complaints from very satisfied customers. TI is registered as scamfree certified (can't remember the exact web but you'll get close enough if you look in the search). If you look at all the particulars in the pre-joining forum of web-site you can probably get a few answers to questions. There is a start up fee like you said but I guess you'd make it back at some point so if you have the time then you haven't really lost anything. I've been considering this site all week but don't need to register at this moment but I may eventually sign on. If you do, can you please let me know how it goes - it would be reassuring to hear from someone on this forum. Very Happy

I personally have worked for cashjunkies for well over year now and can vouch that they do pay. The fellow that owns them has more then one online business providing earning opps for those who work from home. I am not involved in all of his businesses due to time available but I know several people who are satisfied. I do have a site with a home employment section with various opps and resources. I have either worked for or personally checked out all wah opps on my site. Also you will find some links to great places where you could get further info on scams. My link is below.
