Has Ebay gotten too big for people who want to run an aution business part time? Getting an ad noticed on ebay seems to be tough, and unless you have a unique product, there are likely to be many people selling the same or similar items.
My idea is to set up local aution sites. A local auction would give a greater chance that ads will be seen, and in many cases the item could be delivered or picked up; saving the hassle and costs of shipping.
Let me know what you think about this.
Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,
IMHO it is never too crowded, too successful, or too saturated. Its just a trick that partial, biased observation plays on our minds.
I am sure that say 5 years ago ebay had less sellers, but I am also sure they had less buyers.
I thought that way about my home business opportunity, and it is a very distressful thought. But there is always a new market you can discover.
About your idea, check out this local auction site in Malaysia. Its doing very well and I do sell here.
