Ivslady,
The people that do not pass any west skill test is mainly because they confused themselves and forget what they had right in the first place. So, the screenshot will help you to go back while you taking the second exam and make sure the one's you got right the first time stays the same and if you when over the wrong ones and got the answer I guarantee you will get 95-100 on your test. that my dear is so true I ALWAYS ACE IT! LOL!

Hey thanks everyone for the help. I'm training for Schering Home Again, the microchip company. I have been going over my training and taking detailed notes. I am not worried about retaking the tests anymore, but scared to death about the webinar (spelling?) Is anyone else training for Home Again? I love this website!

Hi Kim77h, Not to discourage you I applied for West Jan 21 and am still waiting. They have a hold on hiring at this time. I do know Cloud 10 has been hiring. I was hired and begin training April 1. One big difference with these two West you pick your hours and Cloud 10 I will have a set schedule and set days off. Cloud 10 you have to sign a non compete agreement also. Alpine Access and Convergys is others you can try too. Hope it helps.

Hi Kim
I applied to Verafast and they finally got in touch with me yesterday so I will be ready to start next Wednesday. It look fairly easy you are on a auto dialer and call people to see if they got their paper or yellow pages. It pays weekly. It can't be any harder than the upsells and apos we do for west. Of course they pay on a point system but just knowing something comes in every week helps me. They do not have a compete clause so I can continue working with west. Go check them out. I printed everything off and it is just a matter of learning their code system.

Hi Rsoler
How did your interview go with cloud 10? I haven't tried them because of the no compete clause but if they are busier than west I may consider to change.

rosielopey, the projects I have had offers on the hours are either 32.5, 30, 27.5, 20 hours weekly. The pay is good and steady. They had numerous schedules to pick from. Once you are assignged a schedule it is yours to work. I must say the no compete clause has me puzzled.
I know it states ": If you wish to work for Cloud 10, you must sign their non-competition agreement. What this means is that you pledge you will not work for any other company which provides outsourcing services similar in nature to what Cloud 10 provides, while working from home or in a brick-and-mortar facility. There seems to be some discrepancies in exactly how this policy is applied, and which companies and/or projects may be in violation thereof. "
Any input from any who understand let me know. Thanks I am going to ask about it at my new hire orentation.

Hi Pugmom58. When I applied to AA and Cloud 10 I was told that I needed a letter from West that stated I resigned from them. I would not do that. So I was turned down by both. If I had known I would never have put that on the application so now when I apply different places I know to leave west off. Although I am not to happy with the skill I have but I like west and don't feel that I should have to quit them just to find another job to suppliment my income. These days people need 3 jobs to make a decent living. I also applied to Parameds and they sent me an invite and I finished filling out the paperwork and now just waiting on the interview. It sounds so interesting and hope that I am in the running. Of course I don't know when I will sleep but these days keeping a roof over your head, putting food on the table and paying the bills is top priority. I have learned to take cat naps and that keeps me going.

HI EVERYONE! I NEED HELP FROM ANYONE OUT THERE. I HAVE BEEN TRAINING ON THE HSN SKILL AND FAILED A TEST AT THE END. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THAT SKILL WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO ME AGAIN? OR IF AND WHEN ANY OTHER SKILLS WILL BE OFFERED? I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING WITH HSN. I DIDNT REALIZE THAT MY TRAINING TIME WAS ALMOST UP SO I RUSHED THROUGH THE TRAINING TO THE TEST I FAILED BOTH TIMES BY 1 ANSWER. I DID NOT TAKE IT WELL! ANY IDEAS OF SOMETHING TO HOLD ME OVER UNTIL NEW SKILLS ARE AVAILABLE? ANYTHING AT ALL WOULD HELP! THANKS!!!

I don't know when skill will be open to you again, but if you are looking for a job go to verafast they are hiring, and also you can go to parameds.com they are also hiring for retrieval records specialists. They pay per case but it is something till you can find something with west.

rosielopey,
Interview went quite well but she said I'm a hold...means when a project becomes available they will introduce it to me. so, until then I'm still with west. I am on the same boat as you are in if hrs and pay better then I'll decide then. I told the interviewer I work for west she said as long as I SIGN an agreement and not be active with west throughout the project I'll be alright. so, I'll keep you posted.

ok I got a funny. Last night I took a call on a probe screen. Cust was calling for the cra*tm*tic bed. So I was taking the manual order and the cust was just talking and talking while I was getting his information. I told him he would receive his information in a few days when he told me he needs a bed like that, that can move into positions because his wife won't. Now I was taking a little sneak sip of my coffee and let me tell you I blew it across my computer screen. I laughed so hard it was a good thing another call did not come in because it took me a bit to get my composure back. I have to admit that DR can be fun at times because some of the customers can be real characters. Thought I would share

Hi! I am so glad I found this forum, It helps to talk to others dealing with the same issues as you. I have been with West since Dec 07, Thankfully I got invited to E*iq after only 3 30 min shifts spread out over 3 weeks with DR. I HATED it. The upsells are awful and I am not the kind of person that could "brush off" a bad call. I had always excelled in my previous career at a call center, promoted to management. I had been out of work for 3 years due to me wanting to be a SAHM and I came across West. I was so exited. I finished my training in less then 15 hours, I was pumped.... and then my first shift came, I was in tears. Had I not had another project offered to me, I would have not continued, but I know its only temp as it will end on or before 3/31/09 when the coupons are no longer available. This job is easy and gives you much more leeway with verbiage. I love helping customers in my own words. my only complaint is actually getting hours. This projects hours get taken soooo fast! I have to stalk the trades for hours in order to get a 30 min shift here or there.

Does anyone work EQE and has been able to pin point a timeframe of when they actually post shifts? I used to know Wed AM would post Thu-Sun but I haven't seen that in weeks. Any suggestions on how to get hours-- without spending hours refreshing my screen?

Thansk so much, and again, am so glad to have found this forum. I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Does anyone work for West in Pro-Flowers? Do you have problems knowing when schedules are posted and just kinda have to keep checking and when they do, its a major fight for shifts? also i was not aware that there would be weeks without work..it seems like this is only a here and there position..i enjoy Wests concepts and am hoping to be offered a different skill but i need 20 hours a week steady...
