Thanks, I guess I need to start using hold instead of mute.

Vagabond,

Actually if you feel that the hold would be short then use the mute cause that takes less of your pay per min rate....just use discretion that's is what I do.

Really? You mean your pay rate goes down when they are on hold?
I never knew that.

cathande,

The pay is good with Verafast. I was averaging between $5 and $9 an hour just in credits. I quit because I just couldn't log 15 hours since I work part time as a waitress and I've been training with West. They say if you work 15 hours a week you'll make $150-$200 dollars because of bonuses, and I'm sure it's true because I was happy with the money I made just on credits for the few hours each week I could work. As someone else said, the work is not exciting, but it is very easy. Best wishes!

Thanks for the info. I've run into printer problems, so I haven't been able to get my paperwork back in. I let them know in case they strictly adhere to their 7 day time limit & I can't make it. WestAt is being very understanding about it, I hope both will continue to be.

Cathande,

Try your local library for computer usage. You should be able to access the paperwork and print it out there. Good luck!

It doesn't take down the pay rate. You are paid by the minute, or the area minimum wage, whichever is greater.

Thanks. I was finally able to get the paperwork out. Then after faxing the printer wouldn't work at all. So I redownloaded & reinstalled everything I could think of. When that didn't work, I installed my printer in a back port instead of the front one I was using. That seems to have done the trick. Go figure. Also, did you have a problem remembering all of Verfast's DNC policies & instructions? My brain is not what it used to be as far as remembering.

Wyldkat,

Are you referring to the pay rate not going down when the phone is on hold? because, I have to tell you your wrong I was told many times by pals that when on hold the per min rate stops. besides, it shows it on your ade while working everthing stops min logging etc...when I place someone on hold.

Cathande,

The DNC procedure for Verafast isn't difficult to remember. Just make sure that you check the box labeled DNC, that's most important. Then also code the call (I think it's 15M), but you don't have to remember what code number it is cuz it will also say DNC. Good luck!

Thanks! I've desperately been wanting to work from home for years. But I am my sole support so I have to make at least enough to live on. Since moving back here the job market is pretty bad, so thought now was as good a time as ever since I do need some income coming in pretty quickly. Finally got my printer problem solved thank goodness.

WHAT pal told you this? It sure wasn't a dr pal. I know, because I am one. It isn't that way for DR, and we understand (the whole office) that it is across the board for West... At least we haven't been told different. WAH are employees, not contractors. You are paid by the minute, or by the hour, whichever is greater.

Wyldkat,

I understand the pay rate (paid by the min/or hr whichever is greater. but we were not referring to that the question was when we place someone on hold the pay per min on our ade screen stops until we take the cust off hold then the pay per min cont....anyway seems like there was a confusion in communication nevermind..I do have another question since, you are a dr pal would you know if wst will offer any other skills soon or is wst in freezing mode?
