Hello there. I was wondering have anyone doing or currently training for the virgin mobile skill for WEst? I have been in the training for 2 days and failed all because I realised the next day the 2nd window which i was supposed to do the training from was the one i was supposed to do. i was confused the day before because i had the west training window open and then the 2nd one was the vrign mobile window open and that's how i failed. that was kinda confusing. Plus i just rushed into it to get the job. Anyone have passsed it or failed it? Tell me your experiences.

I've had no issues with training other than the first day. I sat reading and studying the material for around 7 hours and because I didn't understant the way the system worked, I was only credited for 3 1/2 hours.

There are several windows involved and you have to be sure to click around inside of them every 5-10 minutes to prevent the system from logging you out.

I just finished training and didn't have many issues. I too was logged out a few times, a little irratating to have to click the inside box when you are trying to concentrate on the other stuff. Now im just waiting for webinar.

whoah! My first call taking for VM H8liday was a flop! My logins were not there-go figure-after calling and IMing P*ls no results. I had to drop several hours because they are not sure when it will be resolved. UGH. What a first day!lol!

I worked several hours on the 24th and a couple of hours today, and just let me say it hasn't been pretty.

Almost NONE of the calls I took went smoothly all the way through.

The ACF is VERY confusing...the format of the information is horrible and very hard to follow.

VM really needs to step it up.

It's hard for an agent to provide excellent customer service when the script is less than par.

I was really looking forward to doing this work to make up for the lack of hours on my main job over the holidays, but this just isn't worth it to me. I like to remain as stress free as I can.

You would think that doing something as simple as activating cell phones would be relatively stress free....not so with this company.

I think the ACF is rather confusing and ur right, rarely do things go smoothly. I have had to transfer often. But this is just their basic system and more involved account features are left to Seibel. However, I really do enjoy the work Are u moving forward with another skill after the VM Holiday is over?

Hi Guys, I'm working activation and holiday and I'm having the same feelings as you! I work in Seibel and let me just tell you it's more confusing now then in training. The ACF doesn't tell you what to do when something doesn't work, example; validating the address! Who thought that would be a problem? Well it was for me today. I feel like an idiot and my hold time is going to be horrible.

Hey Shawn! Good to hear from ya I finally have my VM Webinar on Wednesday, but I worked holiday. I know, after going from Webcare to Seibel is going to be so weird. I will be so nervous! I was hoping the ACF still told us how to respond and all. YIKES..lol! Did u have to conference a pal? Half the time i did holiday, that option was unavailable. What did u end up doing?

Well the poor girl hung up on me after being on hold while I tried to find out what to do in Oracle! I'm still searching for the answer...like what do you do if they already had an account with VM and it's been closed, can you reopen it or do you just start a whole new one. i couldn't find that answer either. I'm sure it will be easier once I get the hang of things but I just feel very unprepared and I really feel sorry for the customers who get me! So how was VMH for you Rosie1? Did you actually get phone calls that you could help someone, lol. I keep getting weird stuff, the other day I received a port out call it was easy enough but what the heck is a MIN? yet another thing I couldn't find, I sure hope what I did works! And no the conference Pal thing didn't work for me either and I had a tuff time getting the Gateway to open even though I had signed in hours earlier just to make sure it would work.

Yup, I had problems with Gateway too! It would sign me out, so crazy! I did get phonecalls where I just did a straight out activation but alot of people had questions and wanted help picking out plans..i completely winged it..lol
I think MIN is just their cell number, right? I think thats what Webcare called it(the little box u click). MIN confused me 2. At least we have each other to ask, lol! Pals are difficult to get to-at least for holiday.

Oh, and I think they can reopen the account but they may need AYS for that? Not sure..I guess u would go through their serial number from the phone to find the old acct. Oh, unless they purchased a new phone. Hmm, let me know if u find the answer. Maybe I can ask them during my webinar on Wednesday.
Don't worry Shawn, it will all come together! I am nervous to get on Seibel too

Hi Rosie, I've managed to get some here and there but most of the hours that are available I can't take since it's when the kids get home from school until around midnight. I did get some early afternoon ones this week but nothing more then an hour. I think you just have to keep checking Spectrum and hope you get the hours before everyone else. The morning hours are already gone by the time I see a new schedule out. I don't think there is any special time when they post them. I had to call Pals twice today and they were pretty nice, also spoke to someone in save and they were very nice. Yes the min is the cell number but it totally confused me because they call is different things in training at different times. I wish they would just stick to one name. Same thing with the vkey, that's just the account pin, right? I went back into training last night and on my profile it had that I finished VM holiday training, go figure I never did that training and when I went to browse there was some info/training that was different. Today I had a hard time getting into Siebel and had to restart my computer. One day it will go smooth!! lol. How are things with you so far? Have you gone into Siebel yet? Hope you get some hours soon. Maybe we could exchange email addys or if you use IM we could do that when we see hours up or have a crazy question

Thanks Shawn! I worked-well sort of-this morning at 11 and lo and behold my logins for Siebel were wrong. blah. the same thing happened for holiday. I am hoping my evening shift goes better-hopefully i can get in. I actually saw the schedule almost all green this morning! Now fri-sun are left but that is my son's bday is this weekend so I will have practically no time until Sunday night. oh and vkey is the Pin number. Confusing i know. Do we do the LNp thing or does AYS? Im so lost...lol! I could have sworn have have read 2 different things for that. Def should trade emails addresses or something. I can PM you with mine.

Rosie1:

I think some of the training said AYS does it and some said we do it. I looked through my notes and saw where I wrote down how to do it so I guess we do the only time we xfr them is when there is already a request in progress then they go to the LPN exception team (whoever they are, lol)

It will really be nice when I don't have to look at notes to help someone!

LOL! I agree! It was weird that they told us we do it/we dont do it. I asked about it in the webinar-he said we do it. Agh, Guess i will then Oh, and yesterday was my first day working and tech support said they had to contact VM bc Siebel will not load. Erg, Crazy! So i have to wait even longer to start

That stinks! I had to xfr a custmr yesterday because I couldn't get Siebel to work. Once I restarted my computer she came up but it was slow going and she never lets me sign off so I hope it's not messing anything up. I know my talk time is high, I don't think I've had one call under 20-30min!! Hope they get you up and running soon! My webinar was crazy, most of the call was muted because of some of the people in the webinar being a little loud, lol. We didn't end up with much of a question and answer session at the end like we were promised.

I know! We only got to ask 3 questions..lol! At least I got my question in about the LNP thing. I had wrote down urs about what if you couldnt validate the address and well, I IMed him while he was talking and he never answered. I guess it will be a live and learn thing. Oh, do you keep the chat room on gateway open when u work? I like reading the questions people ask bc I figure (if I can remember) at least i will know the answer b4 it happens to me! lol!
