I was searching for article directories to submit my article to. So far I have only written one because like I said earlier I am not a writer, so it takes a while for me to write an article.
During a Google search a found some sites that claimed the articles on their sites were free. Does this mean that I can use these articles as mine? I don't want to unless I pay to have them written for me cos the content is not unique. But I guess I don't understand what the free articles are there for and who uses them. I didn't read the rules and conditions so maybe it did say you had to say who the author was. But, I'm just wondering.
I tried to submit my article and it wasn't long enough for this site. I haven't had trouble on other sites and I'm not about to add to it to get it on this one!

jamesray50: During a Google search a found some sites that claimed the articles on their sites were free. Does this mean that I can use these articles as mine? It means you are allowed to republish the articles "as is" on your website, blog or newsletter. The resource box at the end of each article must stay with the article. You have permission to use the articles not claim ownership of them.
jamesray50: I didn't read the rules and conditions... You should. Always read the rules and conditions. That information is made available for you to understand the terms of use and avoid getting into trouble for violating the conditions.
Here are some article directories you can submit to:
- Ezine Articles - Go Articles - Articles Factory - Search Warp - Amazines
*Read the terms and conditions!

Also, if you submit your articles to article directories, you give them permission to let other people use those areticles on their websites...

Thanks A8ch for the links to the article directories. But I have a stupid question. I went to register on Articles Factory and can't get past the security code.
Along with the letters there is a symbol "|" which is sometime running right through the letter. I have entered all the letters correctly, including caps, at least a dozen times but don't know what to do with that symbol. Does someone know what to do?
Thanks.

So is it a good thing to let others use your articles? Does this bring more traffic to your site?
Sorry jamesray50. I wish I could help you, I love to write.

Free articles are actually extremely powerful in the marketing industry but like you said you do have to be somewhat of a writer. I have found myself that the keywords you want to trigger the article is what is key also if you have a good title and a well written article that goes with the title you can get great google rankings too... My first article ranked first on googles search engine for generate 50 leads a day for free... I was amazed at the power of article writing from then on

In fact, there are so much people that dont know or dont want to write an article. So what they do?they will find any article in article directories and put them in their blog or their site. In article that they publish there is a resource box that tell you where this article come from and this is the way they get their traffic from article

Article writing is not that difficult and you may write just a short one using about 250 words plus. Your article will be checked and if rejected you will be told where you are going wrong or if you are not allowed to write certain things. Your article must not look like you are blatantly advertising your product or it will not be published and rejected. Send your articles to Ezinearticles.com

Articles helps you create backlinks to your site. In terms of SEO, it helps you rank high on search engines for your targeted keywords.
That's why in promoting any of my websites I don't miss article directory submission in my list.

If you really want to promote your site you are going to have to learn to sit down for an hour and bust out 5-10 articles. Your not trying to win the pulitzer prize with these, just get some decent info and build your back links.

Hi,
In the beginning, as a newbie it becomes convenient to use free articles of other authors having the right keywords and submit them to article directories as it helps to have high search engine rankings and get targeted traffic.
You are allowed to use other author articles provided you maintain their resource boxes in addition to your newly created backlink.
