I'm fairly new to the online marketing strategy of using articles to generate traffic to your site; therefore, I have a question.
When looking at the construction of an article, what holds more leverage the title or the body or both equally?
Thanks!

Personally, i think both.
When search engines search for your article using a particular keyword, it will search the title first, then body.

Both are important ....and don't forget the resource box.
Use your keyword in linking to whatever it is you want folks to go to... instead of saying 'click here' to go wherever... you might say,
Visit my 'popular baby names' website for more beautiful names for your new bundle of joy...

Both are important, and as MountainMom5 added, the resource box is part of the mix as well. As far as which element holds more sway, that's a matter of opinion since they each serve a different purpose.
The title should function as a beacon to attract the reader's attention. It should be compelling enough to peek her curiosity and make her want to read on.
The body should expand, explore and/or explain the title. It should be engaging and informative with sufficient content to convey your authority on the subject.
The resource box is where you invite readers to follow you to a place where they can find more relevant information on the subject.
These three elements ought to work together like a set of falling dominoes to draw the reader to your ultimate destination. The rewards will be page views, back links, name recognition, brand awareness and much more.

Well put Hermas
Another thing I would like to add is not to put too much info in the body. I mean the body should always leave the reader hungry for more.

I think both have their advantages.
Personally i think you want to make your title striking and to the point. Also the first paragraph of your article needs to be the most interesting to read as people will usually skim through this to decide if they want to read on.
Thanks Tom

Hi Luckey,
The title by far.
It's the first and perhaps only chance you'll have at capturing a reader's attention.
That said, the body has to have quite a bit of value in order to lead a reader to the resource box. The resource box has to be good enough to get a reader to click through to your page.
Even so, all components are important. As Vishal mentioned, don't give away the whole store in an article site piece. Give enough to wet a reader's appetite for more so they will use the link in your resource box to visit your site.

I too agree with "The Title"! It's what grabs that readers attention to even look at your article! Having a title that literally grabs someone by their shirt collar and says "you have to read my article" will have the most visitors!
