Hey everyone,

I recently started using clickbank to promote a product within my niche and have realized I need to create a "squeeze page" for my visitors to land and possibly to send my PPC clickers too since adwords won't let you redirect viewers to a different url than your display.

I have checked out InstantSqueezePageGenerator, MarketingMakeoverGenerator and so on but it all seems sketchy to me???

Any insight from members who currently promote clickbank products with squeeze pages or just knowledgable on the subject would be greatly appreciated also!

Your post didn't really mention it, but I'm going to assume you are 'squeezing' people through an auto responder series. That is a really good approach.

Simply create a small report or something you can give away for free (that relates to the topic they are searching for) to the people who come to your squeeze page in exchange for signing up for you list.

Once you have them on your list you can send them a couple good pre-selling emails telling them about the benefits of the product you are going to 'reveal' soon.

After an email or two (spaced a couple days apart) you can send them "the big email" that you have built up and explain how the product will end all of their problems.... or whatever.

Hope it helps,

James Capulet

Do not use a squeeze page. Look into using a pre sales page. They are very different. A pre sales page's main goal is to sympathize with the customer to get them to request more information(which leads to the long copy sales) where as a squeeze page is trying to collect their information. Start with a pre sales page then upgrade as you can.

Okay so how exactly do you go about creating a pre-sales page? Is it wise to go to some free website creator to make a page? I have a domain name already for where I want my viewers to be sent. Would setting up a sales page with an autoresponder from aweber be okay to do? Very confused at this point and it seems that every time you try and focus on one area of a project, fifty more tasks come up somehow! Ahhhh!

Lol I understand how the confusion adds up very quickly.

You are being faced with two decisions.

1. Create a Squeeze page.

For this method you will need a series of Aweber autoresponders set up. E.G. Day 1,3,5,7, etc. This information must be informative and coincide with the product you are going to blast to your list to promote on several of the days.

2. Create a Pre-Sales page.

Say for example you are selling an acne product. On this page you would talk about how you tried several products and none worked then you tried this product and it has changed your life. You are making a story, based off a character, that people can relate to. Then you tell them how this product changed your life and put your affiliate link.

You mentioned you purchased a real domain name. What you would do is set up that domain to forward to your affiliate link and mask it as your domain's name.

I'm guessing at this point a pre sales page is really what you are looking for. It is probably the best way to start out seeing results. Building your list will come with time. Start at the bottom so you do not get discouraged. I still have not yet started building my list.

Personally I do not waste my money on a website creator. If you have absolutely no website experience I would recommend purchasing what is called a "mini site" They are the format a pre sales page should be set up using. You would purchase the template and type your own story. (well "your own" story ;D. )

A pre sales page is simply a technique used with an affiliate page where as a squeeze page is something you use to build your list.

Hopefully this helps you make your decision. If you ever require a faster response I would be more than happy to provide one via my email address in my profile.

Happy Marketing ! =]

If you want to do a squeeze page here is a video using Weebly which is a very easy site builder. This software makes it easy to create a small web site or squeeze page.

Okay okay, so I have taken the easy route for this product in that I bought a domain name and am using the forwarding methods to send my visitors. I guess it all comes down to drawing traffic now, keyword research and see where I am in a week or so! How long should you promote a product if you are not seeing any sales? I know it does take some time to work the system so we will just have to wait!

Hey Matt, let me know when you start to "build a list" as I see this is a pretty important aspect of drawing consistent customers! I'm am still a little unsure on how to do that as well! Figuring you just create a squeeze or pre-sales page with an autoresponder from aweber? Anyways, thanks for your input in the previous post!

When you create your list you use a squeeze page and an auto responder. Also it is not important or even necessary, just another step to create sales.

Until you (or myself) knows more about online marketing a list is simply a waste of time. It is hard to lead others to do something you have not yet done. So start off making money with a pre sales page and learn the basics.

One person can spend a week promoting a product and another person can spend one day.

For the sake of this argument, the person that spent one day promoting the product also used NO money in advertising made 30 sales.

The person that spent a week promoting the product and $1000 on PPC, made 3 sales.

Is this possible?

Absolutely. There is no way anyone can tell you how long to promote a product. Any product can be promoted profitably. Some make more than others, yes. However you need to first start with a good product and make some sales before blaming the product for what may really be a poor advertising campaign =].

To choose a product pick one that has a GREAT long copy sales page. I say this because when you promote this product you want it to convert. Pick one with a decent commission, but the higher the commission doesn't mean you will make more money.

Building a list does not create a customer base. When you choose to build your list you are not promoting someone's product, you are representing yourself. So you will need a quality product to offer them on your squeeze page. This is supposed to be an automated system. Therefor you would want all of your auto responders set up so you do not have to work after you do this. In the free product it will give them VERY good VERY useful information that works. This is what makes them want more. Also gently allude to your other products in this newsletter to familiarize them with the names.

In your newsletters you will give them helpful hints and explain how your other products would make them more money. The object of that free product is hook them.

Do you know anyone that read the first Harry Potter book when it came out?

You can still promote other people's products with your customer base, but expect to blow your list ^^.

Hence I recommend a pre sales page to promote others products and a squeeze page when you are ready.

This is why I am not building my list. I hope this makes more sense to you.

A good way to build a list is through Clickbank sales or other affiliate products. Once they purchase one product from you, they are your customer and hence you are building your list. You can send them a welcome email with an offer of some kind - free ebook or something else of REAL value. Then continue to drip on them with good ideas or products that make sense.

So you can build both your sales and a list at the same time.
All the best,
Blair

Thanks for the info! Although I will say I recently found a much easier way to build my list and make money at the same time! It is not through clickbank, which a customer has to make a purchase either! Offering a free e-report I think is working wonders for me, and better yet it is FREE for them!

Ive found the best way to build a list is to offer a product that all networkers need on a landing page or squeeze page of your own. One of my best is a page that offers free leads. What marketer doesnt need leads. so I get a ton of signups everyday.

Something ive been putting together is something ive seen posted in this thread. To add a sales page to the process. When they into their info on the landing page they are directed to a mini-sales page. This page gives them a chance to take a look at a product im marketing. In my opinion I think this is something that can work very well for any marketer.

I hope anything ive said can help you all in the future. Good luck.

Just some quick input: I have been doing great building my list by offering free Audio. I found that many people would rather listen rather than read. They can download it on to there computers and then onto there ipod and listen on the go.

Also, weebly is a great site builder. its simple and fast.
