Hi Randy,
Unless you are forced to use it as with sites like Twitter, I recommend against it. Google is known to penalize link cloaking - anything less than transparent. It will also have a negative impact upon visitor trust.
That said, you might try out a free site such as:

Newbie, I'm really glad you mentioned the fact that google frowns upon this! I came across a website that recommended doing this and I just had a bad feeling about it, needless to say I never DID do it, and never looked into it more either! whew!

What are you trying to cloak? There's a good way to do this if you're trying to hide you id. Let me know. And Google won't penalize you either.

Does google penalise you for having links on your site that are link cloaked or if your own site is link cloaked?
