I am new to the Internet and just read some threads in this site related to Website Promotions .I want to know how can we earn money if I start advertising my website in classified sites or posting in articles? Who will pay to me for advertising my website? Is it somehow connected with the Google adsense?
Please clarify how can I earn money if I start advertising my websites in classified sites ?

It depends on what kind of website you have. The idea of promoting your website in classified sites, etc., is to generate more traffic/visitors.
The more visitors you have to your site, the more opportunities you have to generate money from those visitors.
You can sell your own product or service on your website. You can promote someone else's product or service and earn a commission (that's usually what I do). You can sell advertising (including Google Adsense), etc.
There are a lot of ways to monetize - that's the easier part. Getting targeted traffic is the harder part.
If you look at my sites, you can see that I recommend products for different companies. Most of those companies have what they call "affiliate programs." You sign up to their program and they provide you with text links or banner ads that you can place on your site.
When someone clicks on that link on your site and then goes to the merchant's site and makes a purchase, the merchant gives you an agreed upon commission.
This is a very popular way of earning money on your website because you don't have to handle products and shipping yourself, etc.
Hope this helps give you a better understanding of your options.
Blessings, Angie

We have one agent in our area and engaged in article posting.what they are doing is charging a good amount from us in the beginning and providing us articles and websites to us. We have to post the articles in the sites provided by them . and paying us for each article posted in the site . How are they earning from article posting and then paying us too...

Basically, when you promote your website, you are getting the visitors to come to your website and buy your products/services or get the visitors to get info.

By promotion you advertise your site, and your ultimate goal is to get new traffic. As for who pays you, the people who come to your site and buy your product do.

You can also buy the built in websites from ebay or amazon.
They are currently, running website, You can just purchase from
owner, those selling products that you wish to sell.
They will convert it to under your name and links once you purchase
from them.
After all set up, it's on your hand, You can find good advertisment
to get traffic to your website for selling.
Try it, save time

Part I The initial thing is the value you give to your customer / visitor. If you have a business website you need to be more strong in describing the product, pre selling it and whole lot of structure is involved.
If you have a information website you need to give a lot informative and fresh content. This is the key to success.
Part II After the above step is the monetizing part. This is pretty easy if you have done part I correctly. There is google adsense, affiliates and what not.
I hope this helped.
Sam
