Ezine Articles Question

I've been wondering this for some time and thought this would be the perfect place to ask. I've posted articles before where I've had say an ebook with resell rights (I'll use one of my cookbooks as an example). I wrote an original article of my top ten favorite recipes or something like that. I got an email from them saying it was rejected because it was found elsewhere on the internet. One time this happened I replied and my article was approved, the next time they stated that I can't use resell rights stuff, the whole article has to be my own words.

Sorry to be long-winded in getting to my question, but here it is. If I write an original article without using any other stuff that might be out there on the internet, can I submit it to Ezine Articles AND other article submission sites? I'm confused if EA will come back and say they found it somewhere else on the internet or if they actually take the time to see that what they may find out there is my same article written by me...

Please help, I've really been wondering about this for a while.
Thank you!
Diane

Hello Diane,

Personally, I only use my own quality original content.

If you replace words, sentences, mix things up, and add to them, you can produce extra content from the original article.

Just my thoughts...

Hi Diane,

EA is a lot like Google in regards to originality - they both like it.

I wouldn't use the same article on more than one site. Don't believe everything you hear about blasting a single copy of an article to a bunch of directories. It's a waste of time and as you've seen, it can actually work against you.

Quality, original content is what counts most. Above all, you want to provide value to your readership.

Personally I prefer to create a single article for a given post. Furthermore, I don't write articles for anything but my very best posts, which means I only write a single article once in a while.

My time is better spent on coming up with a new post or on networking.

It's clear to me that most of the so-called gurus are overzealous about teaching the article writing side of things and most of the newer online marketers are buying it hook, line, and sinker.

Definitely drive traffic to your site - especially for the first year or a little longer, but focus on creating quality posts more than anything else.

EA is very picky about original content. They are very much a "you saw it here first" kind of operation.

Thanks Victoria and Newbie,

Good advice/thoughts from both of you. Yes, Newbie, it just sounded like a lot of what I would hear is that people would, yes, blast their article out there to all sites, EA, Go Articles, etc. and I never could figure out how they could do that and not have EA reject their article. I'm gonna go with my guck and simply submit original stuff whereever I submit. I enjoy writing anyway!

Thanks!
Diane

Ezinearticles is the best... but don't underestimate the importance of consistently adding fresh and new content to your website or blog...

Yes diane you can just wait for that article to get indexed by Google, and yahoo just google your title you should find it. After it's indexed you can submit it to ideamarketers and go articles just change the title a bit. There are others but those are my favorites. Good luck!!

Thanks mountainmom and jay - excellent advice, mountainmom, fresh content is king (or queen!)

Jay, that was the direct answer I was looking for, so thank you for that!

Hi Diane,

Excellent call - go with your gut. That'll be one of your best allies.

The fact that you enjoy writing means your writing will get better and better and your enthusiasm will show in your writing, which is something your readers will really appreciate.

Very good.

I just re-read what I wrote and I'm wondering how my fingers got "guck" from "gut" - Oh, well, NS and I'm sure everyone else know what I meant! Thanks! Diane

You can only publish content that has been published elsewhere on the internet if you are the original author - if you purchased something that others have access to, such as a PLR article, Ezinearticles will not allow you to publish it because it did not originate with you...

I submit to Go Articles and Ezine Articles and have never received a rejection. For the most part I submit the same article to 2 or 3 top directories, including my website.

Any ways your right content is king. I like that they have guidelines like that to help avoid duplicate content and people stealing your work.

PLR articles can't be approved to EA. You should rewrite those articles in your own words. If an article is published somewhere else and you submit it to EArticles, it can still be approved if it is written by you.

Ezine articles checks articles manually, real humans read them and checks the article is unique. If they find a dupe and it is written by you, they will still approve it.

Diane,

I submit an original article to Ezine Articles first, wait a week or so and submit that same article to ArticleBase and GoArticles.

The reason I submit the same article to the other article sites is because sometimes an article does not rank for EzineArticles but will rank with the other article directories.

Don't ask me how this works, but I have google page 1 ranking for several articles that I submitted to Ezinearticles first, then submitted to the other 2 directories where they got google page 1 ranking.

Don't just rely on EzineArticles.

Barb

Article blasting for idiots only. Are you in a hurry to be part of the club?

Hi everyone,

A very powerful article submitting site is www.UniqueArticleWizard.com where they will create between 500 to 1500 articles from one article submission because they create unique content from your one article.

Its the best!

Jared

I get a kick out it everytime I hear someone say this. If you do it properly, then it's far from a waste of time and certainly not for idiots.

As long as you are submitting a variation of the articles, and pointing them back to different internal sites and not just the main domain, it's a very powerful tactic.

But then again, forget that I said anything and please go on believing that it's just for idiots.

You've already heard it but I'll put in my 2 cents. Take one topic and have 5 different articles out of it. I.E. Just rearrange the original article 4 more times and then you should be able to post it without any problems.

You should not post an article at two sites or more. It is better to post a unique article in one place then move on to another article site and write new and fresh content. If google spot 2 article that is similar you will not get good rank at Google.

I don't know where I saw this and I can't verify that it is true.

But these guys did two tests. They posted original one time articles and their second test included duplicate articles only. They found that duplicate articles did not pose any problem with search engines.

And on warrior forum there is a group of people that also believe that posting the same article multiple times is not a problem.

So I don't know if anyone can ever agree with duplicate content being ok or not.

Ezine Articles doesn't even want you writing your opinion on PLR articles if that opinion is it's a good thing. They want original content. Hey, like Google, they make the rules. We just have to play by them or not participate.
