I recently submitted several articles on ezinearticles.com. It's been about 2 weeks since my first article and it's still in review status. I contacted support and was informed that due to the large number of submissions the review process is taking longer than usual.
Does anyone know if this delay is because I have a new account or are all submissions taking longer to review? I was told this was the best article submitter around but if it takes 2 plus weeks to publish an article I may have to look at other alternatives.

Hi dula,
Delays are common for the first 10 articles or so.
I would email them explaining that it's been two weeks and you'd like a status update "if that would be alright".
Communication should clear things up for you.

If you have a new account then yes, it will take quite a bit longer - I am finally at Platinum level so they get reviewed much quicker but it is still a bit slower than normal right now...
It IS the best place to submit articles in my opinion so even though you submit to other directories in the meantime, once you have a steady stream of articles at Ezine, I think you will see the difference between them and others...

Same here..my last took over a week, closer to 10 days.
In the meantime, just keep writing! Victoria

Thanks for the replies everyone. I guess I will have to be a bit more patient and just keep writing in the meantime.

I am also waiting for my articles to be approved. Was told the same thing as you.

I was wondering the same thing. I didn't think it was much of an issue because I have been waiting less than a week, and they did say it would probably take a week. Now I know it'll probably be more like two weeks, so I'll try to be a little more patient.
I won't let that deter me from submitting articles to Ezine Articles, though. I figure it's like a pipeline. Eventually the articles will pop out the other end.

Yes, submit as many articles you can in the beggining - you will have to wait longer intially to get approved, but once you reach Platinum status, you won't have to wait as long.

I'm waiting for my 3rd article to be approved. It's taking longer than my first 2 articles. Good to know that it's slow for others as well. Not quite at my two weeks yet, a day or so short.
While we're waiting, I guess this would be a good time to try some of the other article directories.

No one should be depend solely on ezinearticles. We all know that google loves ezinearticles but current delays may be unacceptable to many.
There are a number of other good article directories out there so it is a good idea to spread yourself around a bit.

This happens for new publishers. If the first set of articles are approved, the next submissions will be approved quickly in under 2 days.

With the premium account you get your articles approved in about 3 hours depending on what time you submit them. You are also able to pick what time you want your articles to be approved. May not sound like much for $97.00 a month, but if you use it properly, you'll make that back times 10 and then some.

I've noticed a big slow down lately. I submitted several articles and most were approved but I have some in the problem area (don't know why they are originals) and have not heard from them in 3 weeks even after I have sent messages asking why they are on hold? Any suggestions anyone?

The slow down may be due to the fact that they encouraged everyone to submit 100 articles in so many days for a contest.
As for your articles in the problem area, I would go into the article and see if your keywords are over the limit. If not, just change a sentence or a word or two and resubmit. That is what I did for a problem article and it was approved. That might be faster than waiting to find out what the problem is.
Hopefully in the future, ezinearticles will send the reason for the rejection rather than just the rejection notice. Would save them time and would allow the article writer to immediately correct whatever the problem is.

Thanks Joan. As a matter of fact they put up a message this morning that they did not like my link to my PLR membership page. They do not want to encourage people to use PLR articles for marketing. We don't encourage that, in fact the PLR articles are primarily for blog posts and autoresponder contact. But I changed my resource box and hope they will approve them soon. I agree with the "tell us the problem in the first email" point, I don't know what the double contact gets them.

You never know as I am a Platinum member and as most of you know, have had my patty slapped a few times by them
and here recently I had submitted an article and had looked off another site for some info when writing it - I had reworded it but they still said it was similar to another site and they immediately suspended my account...
even after a wad of really great articles... sigh...
so I just deleted the article, wrote a really nice email to them amidst clenched teeth... rather than fight them and they unsuspended me again...

And this post on the warrior forum might really interest everyone on ezinearticles.

Just wait for it and it will be reviewed. Other alternative to EA is scribd.com. There are no waiting time and you can publish documents as many as you can . Just be sure to have the perfect keywords using them.
