I'll start...

ace-host.net

They closed my account down without letting me know at all. After trying to get some answers, they finally say that I was using too much of the server resources. They refused to tell me anything else.

I wasn't getting much traffic to my site so I figured it's probably a script I had installed recently. I wished they would have told me specifically why so that I can avoid that in the future if indeed I was really using too much resource.

However, I would have appreciated if there was some sort of warning system and a notification letting me know. There are hosting out there that will temporary put your site offline and send you an email letting you know and asking you to upgrade or something but I don't think they should close my account down altogether.

Prior to that, their servers were down just about every week. Technical support was slow (hours) and even unresponsive.

Just a thought - why not post this on http://RipOffReport.com? If someone has treated you unfairly, its a good place to make a post about it.

I've used GoDaddy, Webhosting Buzz, Bluehost, and Hostgator.

My favorite is HostGator, they are amazing.

The worst was Webhosting Buzz. They would suspend my sites due to "server abuse" and then insist on waiting 24 hours to put them up again. Then that 24 hours was extended to more like 36 because of "technical difficulties." After that I had continous outages. Their support was curt and nasty.

HostGator is my champion.

Why don't you like GoDaddy? I've had an account with them for several months with no problems. I grant that they are more limited than, say, Bluehost, but you can get the essentials there --- guestbooks, blogs, email, forum (if you want all that). For this, I pay $4 a month.

So far, i haven't meet any unreasonable web hosting company except for a local web hosting company in my country.

My boyfriend's company website and email are hosted at that particular company, A. But the company A will not hosted our website and email anymore, so our website and email are transferred to another company B by this company A. This company B is slow in responding our email regarding to the support issue.

There is once when the domain is going to expiring soon in Mar. I tried contacting the support staff since Feb. I couldn't get them till few days before the domain expiry date. Luckily, they got my email and renew the domain name.

What a horrible experience
