Which do you prefer? At first I thought I preferred wordpress, but i'm having a lot of problems getting my sites indexed into google. They all show up at 'supplemental results' meaning that they will probably not be indexed.

We have both although we are doing very well with Word Press. Much more functionality with Word Press. Our sites have only been up a relatively short time. One of our sites is ranked 1st page google, #2 for our keywords. Another one of our sites is ranked 8th for totally different biz. I'd say stick with it and keep writing.

Yeah, now I have started noticing that wordpress blogs become indexed REALLY fast but then they completely disappear after a week if you stop adding content.

To stay indexed by google you need to keep adding content regularly. Most search engine bots like to see new stuff when they come by, which makes sense since the internet is constantly evolving and new content is being added by the second.

I prefer Wordpress as a self-hosted blog platform because it gives me a lot of flexibility and control over my content, layouts, making backups, and all that good stuff. Blogger is good but since I am not hosting it I don't have that much level of control over it. Also, I have found Wordpress to be really SEO friendly if you have fresh content and choose your post titles well.

I prefer Blogger over Wordpress. Wordpress doesn't allow Google Adsense, and I've found Blogger is indexed faster. I guess the Wordpress platform would be better if you're hosting a blog on your own domain.

Wordpress hands-down is better for SEO and for its features and options. You have to know how to use it, which plugins to get and how to install and use them. It has so many capabilities and what's more, its very important that you own your own domain.

Matt Cutts, Google's SEO Specialist, also recommends Wordpress for best SEO.
