Should I be registering my blogs and lens with a Domain and exactly how does this help? This is all kind of foreign to me. I have been working at this slowly for about 3 months and when I was into the beginnng of the overwhelmed stage I joined GDI, and Revolutionary Matrix. The two of them are both webhosting I think, so could I just utilize those accounts seeing as how I am paying for them but not promoting them at this time. I found things I like better and was thinking of cancelling, but if I can get some use out of them, then that would be great. Someone please advise!!!!!

Hi Robin,
I joined GDI in the early days before I knew anything about anything. I ended up canceling it early on because I was out of my depth. It seemed to be primarily registering a domain to promote the system to others rather than trying to teach you to build a website business.
Even though it was only $10 per month, it was $10 per month that I was completely wasting - I hate that.
I'm not sure how much bandwidth you get with GDI, and I really know nothing at all about Revolutionary Matrix. So whether or not it is worth you keeping and trying to do something with it as far as building a site on it, I'm not sure.
Don't you choose the domain name when you sign up to GDI? I think that's how it was a couple of years ago when I did it. If so, does the name you chose have anything to do with your desired site concept? If not, I'd say just let it go.
Of course, you know me. I'm a big SBI fan. They teach you to WAIT to choose your domain name until after you've done all your keyword research and narrowed down your specific niche topic so that you can include your main keyword phrase in your domain name if possible.
I don't know if that is any help to you, but perhaps Gilbert (opendomain) will come by and clarify what's what with GDI. He's been with them for a good while. I suppose he still is and should know more about the bandwidth and what all is available if you want to hang in there with it.
Blessings, Angie

Only have experience with WordPress and you register a blog with them hosting it. You don't need a domain name or a web site to blog these days. If your gonna rely on a blog, need to utilize services such as digg it, technorati, stumble upon. These will get links back and forth.
Hope This Helps
Jerry

As for lens, i don't think you can register a domain to associate.
For blog, yes. You can do it.
