This is something I came across recently whilst going
through some you tube videos.

He's a young guy called Edz Johnson & he's posted
several free videos on you tube, showing you how to
build your own website, understanding HTML code,
uploading your information to servers & getting a free
domain name.

This is good information for people starting out & I've
learnt a few things from him.

Build Your Own Website

Hope you enjoy the excellent information.

Mark

Another way is to auto install Wordpress and change the template (you can do this in under 3 minutes), or to create a website based on a website template.

Both Wordpress & Joomla are fantastic platforms for building a web presence. The extra time required to get them configured is worth the time to get the boring day to day tasks automated.

Has anyone uses the Hostgator website builder?
If so, how did that work out for you?

Thank you,

There are many others that LOVE it.

Does anyone know of a good Wordpress tutorial?

You can view 8 free Wordpress tutorials at: KillerSites.com

Alternatively, there is a product called The Wordpress Classroom that offers a series of over 50 video tutorials that take you step-by-step through just about everything you need to know to get a blog up and running. It's a membership site run by Matthew Wolfe and it costs a one-time fee of under $30.00.

The videos are very well done and extremely easy to follow.

Wow, KillerSites.com looks a little(a lot) too advanced for me.

I'll have to start going there and looking for info that I understand.

It's a very good tutorial without a doubt. He does a fantastic job at breaking it down. Once you take it one step at a time it becomes much easier.

I also recommend you take a look at:

I used Ning to build my site - it has blog features and then you can actually get "members" which allows you to contact them for marketing later.
