I am 19 years old, jobless, and I really would like to make a living working online. (Or at least a total of about $1,000 a month once all is said and done)

I have heard there are various methods, I have researched, read etc but I am not really learning much. So I figure I need to talk to some real people instead of reading articles.

I want to get into Affiliate Marketing but I don't really know how. I have an account on ClickBank, but from there I am unsure where to go... Can you guys help me out? If you can help guide me and answer my questions along the way, perhaps I can start down the road to successfully earning money online.

    Thanks guys!

That website does a good job of explaining the ins and outs of how to set up with clickbank.

And here is another great thread where we talked about Affiliate Marketing in depth. It may help...

One of the best ways to learn affiliate marketing is by doing the 30 Day Challenge. It is good training and free. Just google it or check out Youtube videos by Ed Dale who is the go to guy. There is a lot of work and study involved, but that is a given if you want to make money online.

    Hi Marcus,

What a great age to start getting serious about earning a living online. You have a tremendous amount of potential for future rewards. It's a great opportunity, but you really have to commit to the effort.

I have a teenage niece who was interested in getting started when she saw the money I was making. I purchased a one year SBI site building package for her, which is exactly what I use.

The sad news is she frittered away the subscription and only put a couple of weeks worth of effort into it. The site concept (niche topic) she was going for was very profitable and had remarkably little competition but loads of demand. She could have easily had money coming in monthly to cover her upcoming college expenses, and then some.

I was disappointed, of course, at the waste of the money, but more so, the waste of the opportunity.

Choosing the right path to working online is important, but even with the best system at your fingertips (SBI in my opinion), if YOU don't do the work, you won't get anywhere.

Choose wisely and then be committed! It's well worth the effort!
    Blessings,

That is so true you can have the best opportunity out there but if you dont' committ to it...it does you no good at all. And I think that is what the mentality has become for quite a few people. They are the job mentality and can't take the initiative unless someone is telling them what to do when. [IMG]

    Waizujin,

My advice is to sit down and come up with an action plan. One of the easiest things to do when you are sitting in front of a PC is to get distracted.

You need to decide on what you need to do each and everyday and make sure it gets done....otherwise you'll find yourself getting stuck and demoralized!

So work out what you need to do each day, each week, each month to make your affiliate marketing campaigns effective.

I think your best road would be to get into a system that provides you with a lot of training. Something like click bank might not be the best option for you because you need to have great marketing skills in order to be successful online.

Search for an opportunity that provides you with beginner training as well as their own products to market. That way while you learn, you can earn at the same time.

Take your time, do your research and don't rush into anything. There are lots of opportunities out there.

    Good luck

you should read the blog at cb. It provides all the necessary information for newbie. After all,who can guide you better than cb itself. It has listed few common ways to promote their products. I'm using email marketing for the time being.

Oh, and a good mentor is everything. I found my mentor in the Warrior forum by haunting it for several months reading. As you read the threads month after month you learn who is legit and who isn't. Then choose one and stick with them for 6 months to a year.

I remember when I was starting out, the main problem was while I was really enthusiastic, there was SO much information out there and I really didn't know where to start with it all.

My advice is to treat your online business as any other business. Learn the skills involved and yes take your time. You need to have a solid foundation and be educated in order to be successful.

Also don't have an expectation of 'getting rich quick'. As with any business, wealth doesn't happen overnight but with the right mindset and education, the money will start to come in.

    Kind regards

I just thought I would throw another idea out there. It is a system that I used. I was in the same place that you are at right now. Without this system, I never would have figured where to even start. This system gives you a 60 day action plan and walks you step by step through every possible thing that you would need to know to get started making money online. Of course, you will have to do the work and continue to research and learn new things, but it is a great system. I have tried many things over the years and this was by far the best thing that I ever did for myself to allow me to work at home. The system is called My Online Income System or MOIS. Sorry, I don't have the exact link handy at the moment, but you can look it up in google.

The other thing that I would do is visit every Work At Home or Make Money Online Forum that you can to get a variety of ideas and opinions, as well as getting answers to all of your questions as you go. Plus, you will be able to use these same forums to advertise your own business once you get it up and going.

If you are just starting out get a mentor... its very hard to figure it out on your own...
  15. EstherJ New Member

I totally agree. This business can be a minefield of so much information that you need a mentor to point you in the right direction.

Hmm it seems he didnt come back after his first post.

Thats the true nature of this online business. [IMG]
Its frustrating when youre just starting out.
  17. EstherJ New Member

Yes, so easy to want to throw in the towel. As the statistics show, 3% is a very small number who start an online business and continue with it...

You may have to pay a mentor, but a good one will pay for itself in no time. After that it's all profit.

You really need someone to take you under his wing. Self education is an option but you will lose at least an year to learn all the tricks in internet marketing.

    Hi Marcus,

One tip, make sure that you get a business with residual income.
