In order of traffic:

1. Forum Marketing
2. Article Marketing.
3. SEO
4. Classifieds
5. Videos
6 Links
7. Blogs

What is your favourite way to get free traffic?

It's more so how to use and apply them to get effective results.

 

Be sure you have a good content. Then you can do promoting. Since having a good content plus promiting is one of the process way to succeed.

 

What works for me:

1. SEO
2. Links (content related links mainly)
3. Forum Posting
4. Submit URL to Business Directories and Search Engines

 

Proper SEO is the best way you can do for your site or page. Articles also are great earners.

These are good ways to drive traffic. If you do this constantly, you can have tons of traffic to your site.

 

Content is king so make your info original and interesting. Keyword research is essential and optimizing your site for the right keywords will allow you to pull you the traffic you desire.

 

I'm new here as well. These are all great points. I was wondering if you guys could give a quick definition of each point and/or the best way to achieve each topic. I know it's a lot to ask, but any information would be greatly appreciative! Thanks!

Writing articles on a high-traffic blog or content syndication site. Video marketing. Doc sharing sites. Slide shows. Ad swaps. Integration Marketing. Free ebook downloads.

i mostly prefer free classified because i have 1000+ free classified list and i know very well how free classified works.

 

For me, my best strategy that has been working OK for me are 2 things:

1. Forum Marketing
2. video marketing on YouTube

This is my first post and I would like to contribute to this thread. I think out of all those options, I'll go with article marketing as the one that I really prefer. If you have good content then you shall automatically get links. People will them selves promote your business provided that you give them what they are actually looking for via your content.

You peaked my curiosity about traffic exchanges. What's the unique technique? Care to share? I've tried several of those to no success, even bought solo ads and got no responses.

Always looking to learn something new here.

I might get into Craigslist, but I'd have to pay someone else
to do that work for me...no way I'm doing it myself.

 

Benjamin: CL really frowns upon business ops now.. they use to be ok with it but I'm sure they got tired of seeing 100 ads for $5 way to make a $1000 a day doing "Data Entry" (AKA posting up the exact same thing that they just posted. )

I personally agree that you need to leverage everything in order to really get the most out of the internet. Anyone who is trying to sell you the 1 trick that will "win" is out of their mind. You've gotta focus on SEO, Forums, blogs etc, especially when starting out. Getting those first 100 clicks are the worst.
