Having owned a traditional travel agency years ago before the huge big advertising travel deals dominated the industry, you could make a good living, not to the point of being wealthy, but when you ad in the free fams, it was an enjoyable business. Today, travel makes so little from bookings it is hardly worth it. The lady I sold my business to lasted only a couple years before it went under, sad, but the industry is dominated by online sites now, Travelocity, Priceline, Hotels, Trivago, etc., so this would be the last business I would be looking for in this down economy where everyone is searching for the lowest prices, not best customer service which was the focus years ago.
