Hi everyone, with all of your experience, what do you think works better, Adsense or Adwords affilliate sites. Also what are the main pros and cons of both?
Hi Colgoose, You'll probably want to experiment with all three (Adwords isn't always paired with affiliate marketing, though it can be) at some point in time. Adwords takes quite a bit of careful study or you're bound to lose your shirt by jumping into it before you know it well. Affiliate marketing is something I suggest to everyone. It has a high tendency to pay the most. Many like Adsense. It's nice because rather than costing you money, it can make you money before you really know what you are doing as a marketer whereas Adwords costs money every time you use it (once you know what you are doing it will be more like an investment than an "expense"). In the early stages of hosting your first site, Adsense can more than cover the cost of hosting provided you've studied formatting and placement. That may not sound like much of an income, but can really count in the beginning. After you've created several dozen pages, the total Adsense income from all your pages can start to add up to a significant stream. Eventually you'll want to use all three in combination along with gaining sponsorship for a fourth stream. As an aside, some sponsors won't like the presence of Adsense as they feel it gives a site a desperate or even cheap feel. Until you get to the sponsor stage, I suggest you use Adsense to help offset start up costs. ~Newbie Shield~
Hi Newbie Shield, Thanks for the advice. When you use affilliate marketing, do you mainly use clickbank or physical products? Can you make good money from both and is the content in PL course good to learn about adwords? Thanks
Hi Colgoose, You're welcome. I use all kinds of affiliate programs. There are many excellent programs out there and I suggest joining several in accordance to those that would serve your campaigns best. Be sure to join the Commission Junction and Amazon affiliate networks at the very least. ClickBank is good for digital products but make sure that you try out the products first and know that they are good. Your reputation is at stake with each program you endorse. In regards to Profit Lance (PL) and Adwords (PPC): No, it isn't enough. You'll need to read from additional sources to know enough about PPC before you give it a go. Profit Lance is strictly a beginner's program - fundamentals only. ~Newbie Shield~
Hi Newbie, Ive been looking on a few blogs and forums and there is a lot of good reviews on PPC coach. Have you heard of this course and if so, is it any good? Also, do you think that PPC is more profitable than Adsense? Thanks Colgoose
Hi Colgoose, I've never heard of PPC Coach but that doesn't mean it's not a good program. I wouldn't worry too much about whether PPC is more profitable than Adsense or not. I suggest starting with Adsense and see how it goes. After you feel you've researched PPC enough, give it a try with a small budget. Know ahead of time how to track it and then monitor the results. The results of each program will speak for themselves. Nothing tells the tale like first-hand experience. Rumors and pondering won't increase the balance of a bank account ~Newbie Shield~
