Here are my 5 Keys to Success in 2014 Have Written Goals - must be S.M.A.R.T. Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Relevant, Time bound Be Congruent - Let your Thoughts, Words, and Actions line up Live with Intention - Be deliberate. Have proclamations (thought directed emotion generates feeling) Be grateful - If you are grateful for what you have, you'll be given more to be grateful for) Forgive - Holding on to hurts, habits and hangups doesn't serve you. In order the grow, sometimes we have to let go of stuff from our past, first. Holding unforgiveness is like you drinking poison and hoping the other person dies... May 2014 be all you intend it to be.
Nice list Glenn. I'd also add "Believe in Yourself" If you believe in yourself and in your dreams, you'll never give up on either. Great post and thanks for sharing it with us.
You're welcome. One really interesting point in your list is "Forgive" Forgiving can apply to so many things in life. If you focus on something negative, it's hard to stay positive.
Payment Proof.... You're exactly right! "If you focus on something negative, it's hard to stay positive." That's why it is so important to forgive. Merriam-Webster says forgiveness is: : to stop feeling anger toward (someone who has done something wrong) : to stop blaming (someone) : to stop feeling anger about (something) : to forgive someone for (something wrong) : to stop requiring payment of (money that is owed) According to this definition, we can have unforgiveness toward a person, an organization, a situation, and of course, ourselves. We must learn to stop feeling angry toward others, stop blaming others (people/situations), stop feeling anger about a situation, stop requiring payment (you owe me...), Sometimes in order to grow, we need to let go of old stuff. Whether that "stuff" is people, things (possessions), attitudes, unforgiveness, etc....
Hi Glenn, thank you for sharing. Your keys to success are very good, but I also would like to add one very crucial key to success, and that is Take Action!
The good thing about the New Year is how it encourages everyone to turn over a new leaf. Great post by the way. *thumbs up*
To create success in 2014 that you didn't do in 2013 requires that you don't repeat the same mistakes. The only thing standing in your way is improving your skills to succeed, then success will follow.
Preach! Past, not-so-productive practices must be unlearned or else it will only be a pattern or transform into a habit, to the point when unlearning becomes more challenging.
