Has this ever happened to you? You get an email telling you you have a comment on your lens that is pending approval. Next, you go to the lens and..... no comment?

I looked all over for my comment, even checked under the bed and it was seriously nowhere to be seen. It's not listed in the "My Comments" section and not listed when I click on edit for the Guestbook module. Also, on the main dashboard page under the "How you're doing" section... the last line says:

Pending Comments: 0

Huh? Am I going crazy? Now it's not as much about the comment itself as the academic curiosity... I mean seriously, are there Squidoo goblins that eat comments?

Hi Singapoor,

Unfortunately it happens once in a while and in various versions.

Sometimes you find it later and approve it but the comment takes a few days to show up as published.

At other times it happens a different way. It's been that way for as long as I've been a member.

Luckily it only happens to a small percentage of comments.

Aha, so it's not me then. I was seriously worrying about my sanity at one point. Thanks for chiming in to say so NS .

I just went into my dashboard again and, oh my, it's there. I guess it was hanging out in cyberspace for the night... exploring a bit before heading to my Squidoo backend page . Weird.

Hi SP,

Sometimes Squidoo comments think it's funny to play "Hide and go seek", hee :)

Peekaboo!
