This might be really crazy question, but can I put aweber on a squidoo lens and if not, how can I build a list from my visits?
Any suggestions here?

I'm not much of a Squidooer, but I don't see why you couldn't - all you have to do is copy and paste the Aweber code into the html section of your lens. Now whether or not this would violate Squidoo's TOS is a different story...

To my knowledge Squidoo doesn't allow the optin code on their lenses. Those who have optin forms on their lenses did it this way:

- Got the form code from their autoresponder,
- placed in a widget,
- placed the widget on their lenses.

Sounds sneeking, and I don't think the guys at Squidoo will be happy with it.

A word about aweber:

After your 500th optin you get charged more monthly fee than the $20 you agreed to. The more people you have in your list the more money you pay each month.

Its true that the monthly fee increases, but the more people on your list, the more money you can earn...

Hi Robin,

It has worked in the past.

I have never been inclined to use on my own lenses.

Don't know if it works now but I would think that it does.

Victoria put up a link by MrLewisSmile. He's one of my favorite lensmasters. He has a link to a page where you can purchase the instructions. It's only 7 bucks so I'd say it's worth it if you really want to do it.

Once again, here is the link that Victoria put up:

http://www.squidoo.com/opt

Here is the link to the purchase page:

http://www.squidootricks.com/

Let us know how you like it if you get it.

Thanks, got it. Looks over my head, and scary, but I am going to jump in. May not have any hair in two days though.

Another question. Ok, so I am new. I have blogs and lens. I also already have a list which grows everyday in my personal email from a forum I post on. I just went to aweber and it says I need an email from my site, not a free email like yahoo. My site is not built and hanging in my favorites, so what do I do about the email address? So much to learn.

You don't need your website to be built before you get an email on your own domain. Go to your hosting account and find out how to set up an email address. It differs from host to host.

I have many domains on godaddy. Is that where I get a hosting account. I think I remember that option, can I use just one email, I already have 80 million passwords as it is. Looks like I am going down a new learning road. And as always, thanks yahia.

You're welcome Robin. If that is an option with go daddy then go ahead. But better be really careful. I mentioned somewhere else that one spam report is enough for go daddy to claim ownership of your domain. And to get it back it will cost a 100 bucks, and when they feel like it.

And since you are going to use it for mailing your list, you'll difinitely get some spam reports.

My suggestion is to transfer your domain registration to another company, like name cheap. Any hosting company will give you the email address on your domain.

Another short cut, why aweber? grabthatlead and get response accept any email. Grabthatlead only costs you $10 no matter how big is your list, and get response has even more features than aweber (costs the same though).
