What exactly do you need it for? I usually take a sentence off the article and search in the Google for that exact phrase. It works most of the time.

You can also check your URL within CopyScape.

I second Victoria. Copyscape should suffice. However, you'll need a premium account to check if the content is unique and original. Their free version let's you check web pages only.
