There are so many ways to use facebook. Fan pages, paid advertising, etc... Which are you inquiring into? I use facebook, but I do it to just interact and build up a following.

Like the idea of using facebook.. more for business interaction than personal. Haven't had to much luck.. any ideas? Thanks!

There are a lot of people that use Facebook effectively. I personally keep my Facebook account strictly for personal use. At one time I set up a second account for business stuff but after I read the Facebook Terms of service I found I could get both accounts banned for doing that! So, I promptly removed the second account!

I have 8 Facebook fanpages of which 2 bring me a lot of traffic.
I did have a Facebook fanpage with over 57000 fans, but Facebook took away my publishing rights, so if you create a fanpage make sure it is around your website.

Ive found it hard to use Facebook. If anyone has some good ideas about promoting your fan page that would be great.

Many things to do in regards to marketing and just creating an online presence with Facebook. Many people are making money with it, getting leads and referrals for their biz.
I'm challenged with building my core marketing platforms based on Facebook. It just reminds me of the things that Google had done to the people that made them who they are after the big corporate dollars started coming in.
If you make it and create it on Facebook they own it and can take it away.
Recommendation use it as a tool, but be very careful building your livelihood online just on Facebook's platform.

a Fan page is a great thing to make, get likes for and sell online.
I've seen some go for over $500. you can use it for opt-ins, you can sell it to a local business. There's really no limit.

Facebook is very nice for advertising, all you have to do is create a fanpage, advertise it on facebook to get many likes then start promoting your product. You can go directly by advertising your product and then use use fanpage as a landing page.

I am not using Facebook myself but if they have paid ads, which I know that do, this would be a good place to put your money at.

I am trying to use it effectively to promote my website. Will appreciate any tips. I cretaed a fan page and make a few posts. I have 35 likes.
