I have worked for West since september of 07. I started off working Toys R Us than later was requested to train further to become toys assist which I take Toys Canada calls and assist other agents/back up to toys pals. I also work Virgin Mobile holiday.

Sounds good Steph. So I assume to work other skills you have to be invited?

Are people on the forum working for West, etc. because they want a J.O.B. or because they have been able to find that profitable home business that will make them money. Doesn't seem like West, etc. are going to deliver any serious or reasonable income for a person to live off of.

I cant answer for everyone but I am working for West because I need a Job. I realize that I am not going to get rich by working for West, but, I can say I have a job, one that works for me and my situation right now.

Don't get me wrong, the idea of quick and easy money, sounds wonderful, seeing as I am a single mother, trying to work on my home, but I think most go into West, looking to make supplemental income.

I have to agree with Berni, Also I am a little skeptical of keep and easy money I usually find them to be scams or something I do not choose to do

Sorry, for the type error but what I meant is that I am skeptical of fast and easy money. I also went into this looking for a suplemental income not something that will consume my time because my family time is valuable to me also. There are somethings that are worth more to me than being rich.

No one has really answered the question on how long it takes for West to contact you from the time you submit your online forms and you actually start working/training. Has the time varied from person to person? Do they go through periods where there are more agents than needed? I was wondering if that's why it's taking soo long, almost 3 weeks.

Yes guys If there is someone that knows a scam when is coming is me. I was a victim before I was hired by West I was looking every alternative to make money on the internet all those offers especially the people that claimed you will earn 3000 blah blah blah a month are practically all scams! I'VE done a lot of research on these type of scams they are truly predators skeeming and sneaking there way into forums just like these ones looking for there next victim. I TRULY fell for one of these scams spend over $560 of my good earn money that promise me a website and good monthly get rich scam that turn out to be a fluke! please, people do not fall for this ever make sure you are in a legitimate company. and if you are in a legitimate company you should not have to pay so much money for software and blah..blah... after experiencing this scam I AM very careful and have become quite alert and the scam above presented to us is I CAN ASSURE YOU A TRULY SCAM INDEED. so, dont fall for it I AM merely warning you....you will regret it if something sounds too good then by golly GEESH LISTEN TO YOUR INTUITION then it's to good to be true.

AND ONE MORE THING YOU SEE HOW SOMETIMES THE WORDS ON WE WRITE ON OUR FORUM ARE AUTOMATICALLY TURNED TO BLUE AND ONCE YOU CLICK ON IT IT TAKES YOU TO OTHER LINKS. WELL THESE LINKS ARE EXACTLY WHAT PREDATORS USE TO TAKE YOU TO THERE SITES. THEY PAY MONEY TO GET THESE WORDS SUCH AS MAKE MONEY ON THE INTERNET, EARN MONEY, AND SO FORTH...SO YOU SEE THESE GOOGLE WRDS IS WHAT THEY USE TO FIND YOU. PLEASE BE AWARE AND DO NOT CLICK ON THOSE BLUES IF THEY CLAIM TO PROMISE YOU WILL MAKE MONEY! CHAU

Hi Tweb,
I am still waiting also. I have called the 877 number (leaving multiple messages) and sent several e-mails. Still nothing from them. My application statis is still the same, also. Please keep in touch.

Hi tweb. I think it varies. For me, I applied at the beginning of January. I received an email the same week. Took the test. And it took about a week before they sent something saying I was hired and then came a link to fill out paper work to send in. On the other hand, it took up to 3 weeks for my mother-in-law. She applied in November of last year. I would try sending an email to hr regarding your application. So far they have responded to all my emails. Their email address is [email protected]

steph-

I'm working on Direct Response. Last night I received calls on Tempur pedic, Lypozene, and Comcast. The comcast one really confused me, and the Lypozene one was fine until i got to the upsells. after a couple offers the customer got annoyed and said she didn't want anything other than the original offer, and that's when i got totally lost in their application.

yes, I am going to answer three questions from different people, I have heard that Direct Response is hard at first but hang in there, also west used to take in request to switch skill but now they are no longer. I did not, they asked me to if I wanted to. As you get more experience and settled in your stats will improve and as long as you keep up your stats above 90 percent and monitors are good they may asked you to train and get certified on another project. As far as how long the application status can be there is no real answer because it can vary from person to person and maybe even stated. Just be patient. I am sorry.

Hey Workingmom,
I applied the same day as Tweb and got my 1st email the same day also. And our statis report says the same thing. Please keep me informed on your success with the process, also.

chamner04, let us know how your next shift goes. I'm with sears repair. about to be done with the training. I resigned from dr before the training even started because I was really concerned about having to do the upsell. my status shows I'm still eligible to train but I think i'm going to hold off on them right now.

hey chamner04 hand in there I ACTUALLY start dr tomorrow and have been doing the sears repair since I started so I will be working for both skills.

Hey Mlhati, don't worry sears repair is pretty easy once you get the hang of it just make sure that you refer to policy/procedures and reach for a sears pal whenever you get confuse they are there to help you and helpful they are...also there is chat pal you can reach at all times as well good luck. any questions just asked I ACTUALLY love sears repair and I know that dr pays more on weekends so I WILL get use to the upsell cause I LIKE GETTING PAID MORE

Anyone else get an incorrect W-2 from West? My W-2 on I-Pay with ADP is incorrect. By about 1000 dollars or slightly more, which makes a BIG difference on the amount I will get back from EIC.
