I am with Traverus and I feel the travel training is excellent. Our trainer has been in the Travel agency business for over 25 years....as a CTA we can book through the vendors directly and yes our rates are competitive.
I hope this was helpful and that you will give Traverus another look.

Yes Traverus come from a travel agency background, the network marketing portion only came much later.
Also Traverus agents are heavily encouraged to book travel, lots of incentives in place.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY, a few may make money but most don't they just pay month after month and get nothing. If you have $50 a month to throw away go ahead.

Regarding the issue raised on whether it is legal to sell travel in all states with TraVerus, the answer is YES. I believe only 6 states require a SOT# (Seller of Travel). TraVerus is in compliance with this rule, and all agents who book travel with TraVerus are covered.
Regarding whether people make money with TraVerus, again the answer is YES==> Over 80% of TraVerus agents receive a weekly paycheck, and I'd like to add, it's more than the $27 per rep average with the "other mlm travel company"

Hi guys, It's been a long time since I've jumped on board here in this thread. I was a founding member with TraVerus and really liked the program. I was doing good, making some money and really looking forward to booking travel with suppliers.
I, like Jeannine live in the state of Florida. In Florida we have very stringent rules and regulations that MUST be followed.
If you are a travel agent in the state of Florida, you will have to be registered as a seller of travel or your host agency will have to be registered as a seller of travel and give you (the agent) a signed contract to turn in with your "Statement of Exemption".
look here for Florida Laws: http://www.800helpfla.com/sotbus.html
However, I do believe as long as TraVerus members in Florida book travel only on the web site or refer travel to the home office in Texas and NOT directly with travel suppliers you'll be alright.
Yes, I know at the bottom of each members booking portal or travel booking website there are seller of travel #'s, these numbers belong to Travelocity.
TVL SOT #: CA:2056372-50 CA:2064898-40, Florida:ST34200, Hawaii:TAR 6436, Iowa:679, Nevada:2004-0114, Washington:602119764
Now I want to add that I am not an attorney nor am I giving legal advice here. I really did like TraVerus, but due mainly to the SOT issue, decided to move on.
Much success to ALL, Cindy

Hi Kara,
It seems you are doing good with TraVerus. clap, clap, clap!! I really am happy for you and all the other members. I still have friends in the business. (not Florida residents of course)
I promoted TraVerus heavy for a while so I have the home office # and have spoke with Lori on several occasions concerning SOT laws. I also spoke directly with the Department of Ag. Consumer Regulations in Tallahassee, Florida. When I gave the TraVerus SOT# to them, it didn't come up as registered in the state of Florida. Not under TraVerus or Travelworks or any other name.
(This is the SOT# each TraVerus agent is given to use when booking travel)
My concern when booking travel was I would be using the TraVerus SOT# and if any thing were to have happened that needed to be addressed from a legal stand point, who would the "powers at be" come after, me the agent that isn't registered or the host agency that isn't registered or both?
Even if TraVerus is registered, the individual agent has to also register and send in a Statement of Exemption
http://www.doacs.state.fl.us/onestop/forms/10211.pdf
along with a signed contract from the host agency saying they will be responsibly legally for the agents booking travel for them.
As I stated above, I am not an attorney and am not giving legal advice. I feel that it is important for each person looking to start a home business to be sure and check with their state regulators before they make an investment.
Don't you agree?
Cheers

IMHO. All MLM's are only good if you feel good about ripping people off. Especially in the travel buis. HOw many people that you personally sponser actually make anything out of it? I tried to do the YTB thing once, but thankfully I got out quick once I saw what it was all about
