Hi all,
I just got off the phone with a guy at this paper shredding company. He says that he is franchising his services in the Chicagoland area. He claims that I can make minimum $500/mo. by just telling my friends, family and the local community that I can shred confidential documents. Supposedly, all I have to do is store these bins in a secure location and charge others for the services.
Has anyone ever heard of this opportunity in Chicago or others like it around the country? Sounds to good to be true.

Ummm.... before I would PAY someone to shred my important papers, I would shred them MYSELF and burn them. lol
I would be careful about investing money into something like that.

You are absolutely right Mountainmom5. Who needs a third party to shred their confidential documents. You've got no market! At least not with individuals.

I can't see the logic in it. How can you be sure that the shredded docs are safe. If you are looking for an opportunity to make extra money there are much better ones out there. Make sure you do your research and dont jump into anything especially if it sounds not quite right.

I would do an investigation to see if this company is really as good as they say they are. You don't just want to jump into something without doing your due diligence.

Just thought that I'd follow-up with you guys on this. I'm probably clearing between $500-$800/mo on this deal (cash). Turns out that there are a lot of people out there with the need for confidential document destruction. I get a lot of people who just don't have time to shred using personal shredders. My wife and I are plugged into our church parish and local PTA. This seems like an easy money maker. You may want to check it out
