Does anyone do really well in Scentsy? I have been only selling it for under a year and do ok but I couldn't live off of my earnings.

I love the scentsy stuff but have never sold it. Have you been on the cafemom forum at all? There used to be some moms on there that sold scentsy.
And a year is really not that long yet. Many successful mlmers will may not tell you but their success didn't come the first year. They may SAY so, but the truth is quite often that they had been dabbling in mlm and network marketing for YEARS until they hit the right niche and made it big.

I brought a scentsy product. Very nice. If you are marketing a physical product such as scentsy, then you are in the show-n-sell biz. Meaning that you want to engage in more of the type of marketing that will put people physically in front of the product. If you are not doing that and trying to work it from a more abstract method, your sales will be so, so.
Ramp up your home parties, booth events, and the like and you will likely see more sales.
Also, diversify. Diversify your home business income streams the same way you would your retirement fund.
All the best.

Becky, When did you sign up? Do you have any team members? I have been selling Scentsy for a year and 1/2. It has been great! I think it takes a while to get your name out and build a customer base for any business. To make money with parties you need to have a lot of parties or you can build a team and earn commission off of them. Watch some of the training videos in the training center on ideas for getting more bookings and sponsoring. And this fall - be ready, get as many parties booked as you can! My business is awesome in the fall! We follow a similar cycle to the retail business so the holidays are the best time of year for us!

I'd say if you have any earnings you are doing good! I've tried numerous mlm's and have never been successful at them. I just signed up for Scentsy last week, though, and WOW is there a HUGE difference! I agree with the others, though, in that it takes time and work. Try some unusual things like having a Mystery Host open house and themed parties.
I did my first booth last week and even though I wasn't sitting at it for an hour (a siblings was who knew NOTHING about Scentsy) I still managed to sell $180 worth of products for about 3 hours total. The key is having the product on hand, though. I didn't get any orders and only sold what I had there. Fortunately I had gotten a lot of product from my director so it worked out well.
Try a mixed open house and have everyone invite their contacts: Mary Kay, Scentsy, Shelf Reliance, etc., all in one place together for a couple of hours. You might get some new contacts that way.

Becky,
If you are making money with them then this shows you that it works.
Now, you just have to work smart and make sure that you get as many leaders under you and do this consistently. In no time, you will make enough money to quit your day job.
It is all about putting this offer in front of as many people as possible and then working with the ones that are serious.
