Primerica was great for me for several years. Yes, I made 1000 to 2000 a month partime in the mid 80's thru early 90's. You have to believe you are helping people and is a great opportunity. I have a passion for travel and this is where I'm at presently but If I needed to make good partime money, I would go back to them.

Epics i can't believe that its been almost 3 years and people are still commenting, including me... here its is guys, i have worked insurance (big name) for 27 years as an independent, you sell... you get paid... you recruit so you can get promoted and get paid when someone else sells.... that's it. the car dealer gets paid because the salesmen sell, the business owner gets paid because someone else sells.... if you belong to a big name bank and have any type of money...or credit, you have already gotten a call from their 'personal' bankers.... primerica is a good strong company, but some people treat it as if it were only recruit, recruit, recruit... they don't know the business, they don't understand insurance, investments or loans, they are hoping that you will take the time, learn how to do it yourself and then YOU sell and make them rich, the difference is, with PFS... your recruiter could be a bozo and you're on your own, or you could buy a insurance business from 'hands' or 'city-workers' insurance for $100k... your choice... you get what you pay for and you still have to do the work... if you like selling, if you are good with people.... why not, but don't depend on your upline to know what they are doing.... teach yourself and work hard.

to: areyouserious: If you're really serious about becoming a Primerica rep, is now $99 dollars to get started instead of $199, which goes for the training and licensing. They also do a background check on you to see if you have a felony conviction or bankruptcy.
If you do have a felony record, forget it! Don't bother to apply.
If you have a bankruptcy record, see ya! Don't bother to apply.
Also, when you become a rep, it's best for you to buy life insurance to get to know the product.
If you can't do that? then it's best for you to find a 9-5'er so you can afford to join.
My 0.02 cents
