Hello Cindy
I am glad you found the link about the laws regarding reselling travel. There are so many home based travel businesses where the members are not protected but think they are.
Just because a company appears legitimate due to having a fancy website or lots of members, if there is not a CST# at the bottom of the website, and you resell travel, be it a travel club membership or certificates, you are not protected.
I don't know why more companies do not become BBB accredited. It really builds confidence in the consumer knowing that the company has taken this step.
Glad all is well with you Cindy.
cheers maria

Hi Maria and Cindy,
I've enjoyed reading your messages and thought I would jump in here. The BBB acreditation was very important to me when making a decision to join Platinum One Destinations. Almost as important is the fact that they have a physical corporate office that people can visit. I am happy to site both of these when people ask me about the legitimacy of this business.
And isn't it exciting that P1D/NetTrav is hosting a corporate retreat next year for all members who want to attend. What a fantastic opportuntiy for us all to meet each other.
Best,
Ashlee [Links removed - Admin]

Hello Ashlee, Glad you joined us here on this forum. It's a great place to get together! I look forward to getting to know you better.
Maria, Your right! ibizniz: I am glad you found the link about the laws regarding reselling travel. There are so many home based travel businesses where the members are not protected but think they are.
I know because, I was one of those people!
I was reading the laws about my state in particular and ...................instead of me trying to explain everything here I'll just post an excerpt from the travellaw.com web site.
FLORIDA
The Florida seller of travel statute regulates a broad range of travel services, including individuals and entities that sell or offer to sell prearranged travel, tourist related services, or tour guides services, which includes, air, sea and land.
The distribution of travel certificates in Florida is also highly regulated as the state requires a $50,000 bond, and extensive disclosure requirements for the seller of travel. For this reason, many sellers of travel restrict the distribution of certificates in Florida and make a notation on their other certificates "not for distribution in Florida."
Florida also requires independent agents to register, but they are not required to post a bond as long as they meet standards as determined by statute. I also got in touch with the Department of Agriculture here in Florida to ask some questions.
I should have researched better before joining the other companies. So I'll say it again..........................Mr. Anolik is a real blessing!

Hiya Ashlee
Great to see you found this forum.
I am also really looking forward to the retreat in San Diego next year, a great chance to see a city I have heard so much about and to see all the P1D members I only know on the phone.
Cindy, thank you so much for finding the reseller of travel rules and posting them here. I know there are many members in other travel businesses who think they must be covered, because they could not imagine that their company(s) would not be in business without the correct licenses, but sadly they are not protected.
You are always such a great resource Cindy.
Cheers Maria

oh
I missed it, I am going on vacation tomorrow and had to attack the shopping list.
Just 3 nettrav sales per day (at $148) will result in about a six figure income (due to the 20% or so that will upgrade to the P1D memberships)
With the current sizzling summer accelarator offer, where only 1 sale is needed to become qualified at the level you join at....sales are definitely easier to make.
You know P1D must be hitting a nerve as some ex Coastal directors are posting a plethera of pretty sad YouTube videos bad mouthing us.
It really beats me why said professional marketers would stoop to such levels. All the negative advertising apears to be one way....good for all the P1D members
Cheers Maria

Maria I hope you have a AWESOME time on your vacation!
I'm sure this training was recorded and all (audio and visual) will be available in our back office.
So take your laptop and do your training on the plane!
I love this business!! It's so much fun!
BTW - I've seen the videos you speak of and I just shake my head. As the saying goes "No publicity is bad publicity"
Let them market us anyway they want, people are smart enough to read between the lines.
The ones that like facts will investigate on their own, find the truth and us.
So in essence........their doing us a favor.

Hiya
that is true, but the lies bother me.
I predict they (Dean and Jeff) will promote P1D within the next 18 months. I hear Jay and P1D don't mix, so he will probably keep looking for his ideal home.
Thank you for your wishes
Cheers Maria

I received an email today from NetTrav , the parent company of P1D.
Every time someone books travel on our website, the travel commissions are loaded into our back office.
I really like this system because, we will have people we don't know book travel on our sites and it'll be reported in our back office automatically!
Some of you may be wondering how we get booking commissions without having to be travel agents, well it's simple really.
Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, etc........ are travel consolidators. They get paid from the travel suppliers a booking commission each time someone books travel on their site.
You see, NetTrav is also a travel consolidator and gets paid commissions from the suppliers.
The difference is, as a NetTrav member, you get a percentage of the booking commission!! Your membership level determines what percent.
NetTrav member only ---- 50% SilveR P1D member ---- ---60% Gold P1D member ----- --- 70% Platinum member --------- 80%
Just wanted to share a little insight with everyone.
Cheers, Cindy 850-316-8314

Hi All!
I find it refreshingly wonderful to see everyone conducting themselves in a professional and forthcoming fashion on this thread. How we behave both publically and privately reflects our true intentions, and I am very proud to be associated with people, like yourselves in this great business!
I agree with you Maria... real business professionals would NEVER EVER tell half truths about their perceived competition or put others down to bring themselves up. I don't know about other people, but I am smart enough to look behind anything I am reading and ask who and WHY something was put online- not to mention how!
I did my own independant homework when I read about the reseller of travel legislation as well- and I am very proud to say that not only am I working in the ONLY truly legal and legitimate home based travel business that I can find online but that the SMG and P1D's mandate has always been to take the "high road" and not condone or encourage black hat or bogus marketing. Not to mention the company seeks out and hires the best of industry professionals to support us behind the scenes. I for one, am smart enough to know that I will never KNOW everything, and having the best of the best behind me dotting the "i's" and crossing the "t's" gives me a true security that I have never found in any other kind of corporate organization.
The point of SYNERGY is to work together professionally and as a whole and to allow everyone to benefit from P1D/NetTrav's branding. It is smart business for everyone, and the fact that we represent a legitimate and valuable product FIRST is old fashioned good business!
I am really loving the new whoissmg dot com website, it really gives a good solid background of the WHY and HOW of SMG/P1D. I really appreciate our corporate and leadership teams solid commitment to transparency and "walking the talk". Personally, if every company (not just travel companies and hbb opportunities) had the kind of commitment and philosophy shared by the Synergy Marketing Group and Platinum One Destinations, we would be living in a very different world.
Congrats on the PAYcation Maria, I see you have had several sales come in. The SYSTEM is working, I hope you are having a better then GREAT time!
Keep up the great work everyone, the summer with P1D is hot, hot HOT!
Jani

Thanks so much Cindy! I actually loved doing it- I intended to help out others who are still learning the how to's and maybe provide some new tips to more seasoned business owners.
On another note-It is so true that we learn from others, especially our team members- I just love that feeling I get when by teaching someone I learn something new myself! I truly believe that if we are not growing we are dying, and Carol McCord made a very great point at the end about learning from others and taking what works for YOU- I still do that, and I know every successful person I know keeps plugged into that MAC and continually makes it their purpose to learn, grow and apply. I know when I was brand new to the business (like I said this is my first real hbb, though I did get scammed a few times as Maria stated most of us have earlier) I listened for any learning and practical "how to's" that I could find on the SMG training calls, so I wanted to be able to answer as many general "how to" faq's and provide tips as I could! At the same time, I benefited by learning something about myself and from the wonderful people that stepped up to learn and participate. Like they say, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. It is so wonderful that we are called the SYNERGY group. The name says it all.. pure synergy!
A big thank-you to my team members Mary and Chairo for stepping out and helping! I couldn't do it without the power of SYNERGY! Together Everyone Achieves More!
Maria did an AWESOME training about online marketing that will be posted to our members only dashboard shortly. I'm so excited to see the many new tools, options and ideas the SMG as P1D's official training and marketing partner continually brings out to give everyone the all important choices we have as independent business owners.
I can't believe how far we have come in such a short time with P1D, and I am STILL pinching myself every day, because I see the "big picture" and know beyond a doubt where this business is going. Personally, I think that anyone looking at this during soft launch who is not getting onboard is absolutely out of their mind if they understand the magnitude of this opportunity and want to sit on their heels and wait. Then again, there are leaders and there are followers! I believe that what makes our organization so powerfully positive and forward moving IS the people in it. Everyone has such passion and commitment, and I can truly say I am grateful to be able to have the opportunity to share, learn and grow with and through the P1D and SMG.
Good on YOU for stepping out Cindy! Make it happen girl!
Jani

Hi guys, I have a question.................... It seems like I read in one of our corporate emails that the P1D memberships are due annually.
I know with NetTrav we pay a $99 annually fee with NO monthly fees. Do we pay our P1D membership each year? example: Silver: $1,500 annually plus our monthly fees?
Thanks in Advance for your answers, Cindy

Platinum One Destinations is coming close to the full launch period.
If anyone is looking at P1D, the softlanch specials of qualifying with just one sale ends September 30th 2008. From October 1st all new members will need 2 sales to qualify as an EMA.
The soft launch prices of $1,200 for the silver, $4,800 for the gold membership and $12,000 fro the Platinum will continue a while longer. I have not heard if it will be discontinued any time soon, but that can change.
Also the extra rewards points which are being added to the P1D membership packages (+100,000 for the Platinum alone) will discontinue at the end of the month as understood by me from the synergy Platter call with Lloyd Wilson.
Lots of reasons to start this month.
With all the uncertified home based travel businesses flying under the radar, I know P1D (which is certified & BBB Accredited) will out perform all predictions and become the first Billion Dollar home based travel business sooner rather than later.
cheers maria
