Jeff, what's your secret! You still have time to reach your goal. That's awesome... I'm jealous.

See, my thing is I LOVE LOVE LOVE to shop online, even before MPM! The thought of going to the mall or trecking from store to store with 2 kids makes me cringe. And I've found some awesome deals online... I have most of my X-mas shopping done, shipped to me FREE and I paid peanuts for some high quality toys. It's the way to go!

Getting a downline and having them shop is key to this working in the long run. I need to find more people like myself.

I had set a goal of having a downline of 1000 people by Thanksgiving and am at 916 now, so I may hit it.

WOW!!! You've got over one % of the entire membership! Good going!!

I have only been involved for about two weeks, and am 3 members away from hitting the 10/31 deadline.

It is also important to make sure your frontline are enabled and ready to show their members how to build.

That is so true Cybermommy!! In conjunction with establishing my own frontline, I have been working closely with my them, encouraging them to utilize what has worked for me to build up their lines.

Heard and read all the info given to me. Great info. Does anyone have any other ways to promote mpm that may not have been told by Ginny?

When you say "all" the info, did you download and read the entire set of training letters? There are invaluable tips in there, as well as straightforward encouragement. I would also recommend reading through all of the marketing materials as well. I signed up my first completely anonymous member today using one of MPM's boiler-plate classified ad texts. I've been writing my own text for more recently placed ads, as I get more comfortable with doing so, but don't ignore the power of the FREE tools that are right there for you. I placed this ad 10 days ago & completely forgot about it - I'm awake now!!

An update on my last post - I have since signed up two more members from my "cold" market that are serious marketers! And just in the past 6 hours!! They're both overseas - hint hint - don't narrow your marketing efforts for this international venture to the Good Ole U S of A...

Great point Kalien!I am in Italy and originally from the Uk and I can tell you there are literally millions over here that will jump on this.Think global!
I saw the immense potential and joined right away!
I am globally advertising and covering all bases so to speak
And that is great Kalien ,getting very good marketers on your team can work wonders-watch them build and build now!
As well as the great training letters ,can I also suggest our own MPM forum?
I see that more people are using it but not as many as there could be.
I have found out a lot by going in there and reading and sharing info.
Btw-hit my October contest target last night!Yay!!
Now 48 hours or so to try and introduce more members!!!

Kalien,

You are doing an excellent job building your downline. Keep up the good work! Are you aware of the fact that you get a free vacation if you get 10 in your front line this month? I'm cheering for you!

I keep reading all these posts about building downlines etc

'I must do better' I think!

Cybermommy... you have given me hope re Europe at least.. I have to admit i have always thought MPM was a US based project and anyone outside the US would not be interested?

Can I ask if those of you who are having lots of success building your frontlines... do you subscribe to the MPM imedia marketing package? Or are you just posting ads and using sig lines?

cheers

Nah, no need to spend money on it. Try as many free methods as you can come up with.

I haven't felt any need, (yet), to use MPM's iMedia. There are so many FREE tools there. Just poke around everyday, find something you like, (banner ad, email campaign) and use it! Expend your time and energy before your money!

I just joined MPM recently and I've decided to replace my cell phone through my own mall. I'll get a great phone compared to the one I now use and it's happening at just the right time, since my service at T-Mobile just expired. The best thing about all this is so far is everything has been absolutely free and I haven't had to leave my computer.

So I have ,what ,24 hours to try and introduce another 10?!
Well as many as I can manage anyway

Best of luckl to you all with your targets-I am sure you have all met it no problem.

Okay, as of today, I have been an MPM member for one full month.

I only promoted for 17 days. My frontline is 16 wide and I have 47 in my downline. We (my downline and I) have almost $500 in sales. That isn't a ton but it's pretty good for the first month of membership. It will only grow.

We have been making purchases from GNC, Circuit City, 1&1 web hosting, PETSMART, drugstore.com, A1books.com, Gaiam.com, and Babywise.com.

My downline goes 6 tiers deep so far. It will eventually go 9 tiers. Someone in my 4th tier - the biggest percentage payout tier - bought something a few days ago. This is just getting better and better. I don't even promote the mall anymore, lol.

I just wanted to let folks know that it is quick, easy, and free to partake of this business. Plus, once you build a good frontline - a dozen or more, it is likely that a few of your frontline members will build a good downline.

I'll say it again. Be good to your frontline and teach them to do the same.

Talk to kalien about signing up. She takes good care of her front line.

Wow you must have promoted like crazy...maybe I should change that to promoted smart. Did you start to get members right away?

Not sure if I'm promoting smart, but here's what I'm doing to get members.

1. Blog plus link postings other blogs I've published
2. Article
3. This forum
4. A shopping forum
5. Classified Ads of which I have had over 200 visitors so far
6. Manual submission to Google, Yahoo, and Droz
7. Email to a friend with lots of connections

After nearly two weeks, I only have one member.
You would think people with give it a try not only because it's free but because it makes good CENTS in the long run.

Duck,

Those are excellent ways to promote it. You are doing way more than I did. I just chatted in four forums for 17 days. I didn't do anything else. People clicked my sig. That's all.

You have seen how much I post. I post here more than on any other forum.

I would keep looking for a few good shopping forums where there are a lot of members but MPM hasn't been discussed much.

When you do that, be an authority. You can look at some of my past posts about MPM. Apparently they are convincing without being too pushy. Strike the balance.

When writing copy, you have to put yourself in place of those you are addressing. Ask yourself what convinced you to join MPM. Chances are they will have the same view.

It's free, there are over 1,000 companies to purchase from. Many of the companies are big name companies. The downline structure is big and so are the commissions.

Just list off some good aspects and word them carefully. You have to sell the idea of joining. If people feel it is a good thing to get into, they trust your opinion, and you can state how they will benefit from joining, you will get recruits.

By the way, yes, I got one or more members every day during the 17 day promotion. Now my downline is building itself.

Hey, how are your other income streams coming along? What are you making?

Good luck.

Newbie

Is it not frustrating selling something that is free?

3 life times ago and right out of college I could not find a "real" job so I sold Bible books door to door for a while.

At the end of the season - one of the guys decided to try the following: He knocked on doors and his sales pitch was this: He held up a 5 dollar bill and said he was selling it for 1 dollar.

It took hom most of the day to sell the $5 bill. No gimmick - he just wanted to see how jaded people really are.

So, do not be upset when people do not join MPM even though it is free - and there is 100% no risk of any kind.

People are just being people etc.

Bob

Well I suppose they're coming along, still no profits. But I've changed my way of promoting...for example I'm promoting a music download service on an MP3 related forum and entertainment classified ads.

So far today I've had 30 page impressions and zero clicks on my Google Adsense account.
