Monavie seems to have gone a bit quiet here in the UK --at least i haven't seen them posting on the forums like they used to. Personally, the autoship and the cost of the product itself puts me off.
The business I'm involved in doesn't do autoship fortunately

Bruised Realtor
I've noticed that no one has posted information about Monavie in quite some time. Just wanted to let everyone know that they are not only alive and well but introducing new products all the time including weight management products that really work and that are DELICIOUS.

I'd love to start a forum with others who are involved or who want to be involved.

Bruised Realtor:
I was recently looking into some new opportunities available in the health and wellness industry, and found that most all of the acai juice products came in at approximately the same price. My brother in-law works in the lab for a company that formulates bulk liquid and powder products for many of the mainstream vitamin and supplement wholesalers so I looked to him for some advise, he told me they are currently evaluating many of the "superfruit" products on the market, and where working with some company's to develop similar products, he then went on and on for quite a while in a language foreign to most anyone unless they are a chemist. Here is what could decipher from my conversation with him; while many companies are selling the sizzle of the acai berry, most have a relatively low percentage of acai berry juice, the other thing that said was that the antioxidant properties of the berries are effected by the method and speed in which they are processed, he could not remember exactly process or they used or what percent acai juice Monavie was but he felt it was a good product.
As for the price he told me it's the same old story with supply and demand, relatively unknown outside the rain forest of Brazil until recently, the price was set when the supply was very limited and the berries where picked from tall palm trees in the wild, he told me harvesting techniques have improved and there are new processing plants coming online this should bring about a price drop in the near future. As for me I am exploring other options for now and waiting to see what happens with new comers in the acai juice business. However after much time spent on due diligence, if I were to go into the business today, I would go with Monavie if your local area is not saturated with distributors. Hope this was of some help. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to ask my brother in-law.

Bruised Realtor, ask your brother to look up the Instafresh Process and see what he thinks about it.

I agree with Bruised Realtor about Monavie being the juice to go with if one were looking for an Acai juice. I know I am not objective because I am a distributor, but the active formula with 1,500 mg of glucosamine in 4 oz. helps relieve my arthritis pain and stiffness.

All of their products are scrupulously tested to be free from all banned substances on the WADA Prohibited List, which consists of more than 170 substances from six categories. (World Anti-Doping Agency, The 2008 Prohibited List, International Standard.)

The company has also worked to insure that the Acai in their juices is the most potent and highest quality

Four ounces of MonaVie Active has an approximate ORAC value of 4,000 to 5,000 units. This is the approximate ORAC value of 5 to 13 commonly eaten fruits and vegetables. Health experts currently recommend consuming 5,000 ORAC units per day for optimal antioxidant protection.

Anyone who wants to make Acai juice part of their diet is welcome to do their research. I hope this post has provided a good basis for comparison.

MonaViedrinks:
One of the main reasons for the popularity of Monavie juice is their one of a kind freeze-drying process that provides a quality of acai powder unrivaled in the industry and one that boasts an ORAC score (a measure of antioxidant power) higher than any other fruit or vegetable tested to date, on a gram-for-gram basis," according to the Monavie corporate site

Just out of curiousity, do you know if that score was taken before or after the freeze-drying process?

Hi,

I went into my backoffice and took the answer to your qurestion off my FAQs

What is the ORAC value of MonaVie Essential, Active, Pulse?
Four ounces of these MonaVie juices has an approximate ORAC value of 4,000 to 5,000 units. This is the approximate ORAC value of 5 to 13 commonly eaten fruits and vegetables. Health experts currently recommend consuming 5,000 ORAC units per day for optimal antioxidant protection.

Hi lillanrose, i understand ORAC values and what they mean in a general sense. My question was meant to be more specific. The reason i asked is to see what response i would get. Most information is good to get when it's simple and to the point for most people. What changes the interpretation of information is the specifics. In other words, from what i learned during my research is that there are many types of processing. This is directly related to the quality of the ingredient/product after it has been thru the processing. This is like saying this cheese is made with 100% real cheese as opposed to saying all this cheese is 100% real cheese. There is a BIG difference. I wish i knew this a long time ago.

I know what you are saying and I agree. Monavie freeze dries their Acai right in Brazil BEFORE it loses its ORAC potency. I find it frustrating when people talk about getting juices with Acai in them cheaper elsewhere. When it comes to nutritional quality, you get what you pay for!

19 Sep 2011 01:20 - Attached on merging:
40 dollar grape juice

About 4 years ago my sister in law gave us a bottle of MONAVIE and said she was going to get rich and cure the world of all ailments. Funny...she's real quiet about it all, now. Not a peep.

Did anyone get rich selling this $40 grape juice or was it all another over hyped scam?

Interesting,

I have a friend who has done well with Monovie, but like most, if they are honest, the recession is killing them as attrition rate is far in excess of most peoples ability to add new customers and distributors. This is common issue given most people who are not making money enought to even cover their autoship will quit, and things do not look good for the economy as I see it for years to come. Might explain why this thread and others promoting nutritional juices have died.

Success to all,

I understand what you are saying but...MonaVie has just eliminated the major excuse many people make for not being able to eat healthier, start a business, lose weight etc.

Lack of money is no longer an excuse.

In a move that I have not seen anyplace else ever, MonaVie has put together a package of discounts and benefits designed to save the average distributor $4,000 or more a year and to easily obtain their product for FREE!

First...the discounts...500,000 (yes the number is correct) national, regional and local retailers are prepared to give MonaVie distributors discounts (exclusive to card carrying MonaVie distributors only).

NO ONE can tell me they won't benefit...Target, Walmart, Winn Dixie, Kroger, Albertsons, Pathmark, Rite Aid, J C Penny, Eddie Bauer, Gap, Walgreens, A & P, CVS, Faye Meyer...shall I continue? Movies, restaurants and other entertainment...Discounted! Christmas is coming and who can't use a little help with food and presents?

Next discounts on prescriptions, eyecare, hearing and dental. With a plan that is designed to also act as co-insurance. Need more?
As a distributor, if you sign up just two customers (customers sign up for free, no SS# etc) who go on autoship, and your next autoship is free...EVERY MONTH that they stay on auto-ship. And, that is IN ADDITION to the normal commissions and bonuses. And, you still get PV for your FREE product!!!

We all know that we need to lose weight and get more anti-oxidants into our bodies. Now we can do it without additional out of pocket. Consider the opportunity...there isn't another one like it! " <Snip>
