Hi,

Somone sent me an email this morning titled "Make Money With Paypal" encouraging me to make a small payment of 3 in order to receieve a so called "10,000" within 30 days.

Now that seems like a scam because it is too good to be true, but I have read through and it seems the idea is networking, emails are sent out to friends and fellow affiliates, and you add your email to a list so that it can progress to a higher position and then you get paid.

Has anyone come accross something like this before?

What was your experiance?

It's not only a scam, it is also an illegal pyramid scheme which will
get your Paypal account suspended.

You've been warned!

Hi,

This is a very old scam, known as 'chain letters', the use of Paypal & email just makes it look modern.

You can try the maths yourself in excel and its the maths gives it away.

If you emailed 10 people & they emailed another 10 then in theory if there was 100% take up by the time you got to 1st place there would be 10 X 10 X 10 X 10 X 10 X 10 X 10 X 10 X 10 X 10 =10,000,000,000 emails in circulation.

Obviously the take up would only be very small.

The person who started the letter probably has 2 maybe all the Paypal IDs on the list, they send out 10,000 emails a very small response generates money.

Hey all,

I'm laughing that this is still doing the rounds. Although, I do realise it is a scam, I do find it sort of plausible. But that's if EVERYONE believes it. Mathematically, it seems to follow logic, until you realise that if you then take the next step, and then the next, ie, growing exponentially, then soon, you'd cover all 6.4 billion people on planet Earth. Oh, well, almost feel nostalgic seeing this still going.

I made a lot of money with paypal and thought it was a quick way to get rich...I had several instant pay programs and one day i logged into Paypal and my account was locked...I have a lot of money and have to wait 180 days ...I would not use paypal for any online marketing payments...all it takes is a couple of complaints and your going to lose your account....At least im still earning interest on my money. It makes me mad because they have such a good interest rate...Im sticking with quality programs that work and have all the proper payment options.

Paypal is quick to lock your account with pyramid schemes.

I wouldn't recommend any of these programs anyways, but if you are going to do them, I definitely wouldn't use paypal. Google checkout is one that I would suggest using, but again I don't advocate these programs as they are illegal.

I agree, they lock your account for anything that seems to be suspicious

oh...i am really sorry for you JWcashbiz but yes it happens sometimes when you see easy money coming your way and you ignore the fact that it will be actually earned by non-fair / illegal means...

I'm still waiting for that Ugandan exiled prince to wire money into my account. He said once I gave him my banking info and passwords he'd have it in there within a week. It's been 2yrs, but something tells me he's going to do it soon. Once I get that cleared up i'll look into this "payPal" program.

Everything explained here is a 100% scam and paypal is not giving out anymoney unless you are registered with its affiliate marketing, and it suspends you if you find doing Spam with this program.

IT'S NOT A SCAM IF YOU CAN WORK IT - You'll have to promote the crap out of your PayPal account, but you can do exactly what they're doing. Ethical? No, but a definite way to make money.

I agree that gifting with paypal can work. If you don't put their logo on your website or Emails they aren't going to have a problem. I believe Drew is talking about gifting. The problem is it requires honesty on the part of others. There is an example of one of these deals on my LuckyRon website. I started by sending the $5.00 and i'm still getting money here and there. I didn't go wild promoting it so I don't have thousands coming in but at least it was a good way to start from scratch.

I've been getting a lot of these scam emails recently. Many are promising to pay in pounds - could all becoming from the same shyster.
