I can understand what you are saying about the credit card situation. But we are going to have people who do not have a computer at home and may have to rely on us to input their information for them. I am already preparing a form for them to complete. But it would be nice if they would provide a list of vehicles that will have the $150.00 sur-charge. So that the customer will know right up front when we present this to them. Unless you have a laptop computer with you, with an internet connection, at the time of the sale.

Good point,
I personally am not interested in door to door sales, so I won't have this issue, but I am sure others will. You could carry a laptop with wireless card if you were going to be a real door to door salesperson, but that's not my thing, direct sales is good money, but I look at the leverage angle for long term residuals.
As to surcharges, this is only $150. across the board now, so in my case, I had paid a $300. surcharge for BMW, but now getting a $150. refund, so that was nice surprise. Only highline foreign and 4X4 will have surcharge, so not a real issue once you get familiar with all details and retail brochure will list these fees.
Good luck to all, Mike

Not really talking door to door sales. I have created a sign for my vehicle and also put together a nice flyer with my contact info. Very easy to see an older car, which you can assume no longer has a warranty, place a flier on the windshield. Also, if someone reads the sign on my vehicle and wants info, I will have paperwork in my van ready to hand out. Once again realizing not everyone has a pc at home. I think for now I would prefer to work this approach rather than building a team of affiliates. Get a steady stream of commissions in my pocket and see if this will be a long term project. You can get stuck with affiliates who just want to purchase for themselves to save money and never attempts to sell another warranty to anyone else or even bring on other affiliates. Test the waters and see if this company is here to stay.
But I have to admit I do have a problem with that $2000.00 gift card. How can they afford to give this out, plus $500.00 commissions on a $1995.00 policy. Even less if the person pays in full for $1795.00. Scratching head on this one......

OK, I see, now we are on the same page, I use my Mobile LED Electronic Billboard in my car promoting WFL and so where ever I park and drive, I am getting in front of people, but I post my website and email with phone number. I have had people ask about it, but I just hand them my business card and if they don't have internet, which is rare, then I hand them a brochure and with ID, I suggest they can send check, but I won't take credit cards at this point until retail site is up, then if necessary, I will bring computer laptop and they can enter it in personally.
Good luck to all, Mike

Good question,
I was involved in industry years back, so I know there is a huge markup on warranties, and this is why car dealers push them so hard, they often earn more on the warranties than on the car they just sold. lol
That is why anyone considering a warranty should trust no one but themselves, and that is how I am promoting WFL. I know the card is worth about half the face value from a purchase standpoint as I have used these cards for other promotions, so combined with cutting out huge markup, I figure company has the numbers based on how many claims per plan is in force, so I trust they are making plenty after paying out commissions to us.
Good luck to all, Mike

Thanks Mike for the responses. I asked my sponsor about having a copy of the warranty available for prospects to look over and he tells me that I shouldn't need one. I know if I'm buying a warranty, I'd like to see a copy of what I'm getting myself into. Especially if you are buying from an unknown company. I even told them that the updated FAQ sheet on the site, advises the prospect to ask to see a copy and that their Rep should have a sample copy available. Go figure....
I also made up my own business cards. Keep those handy in my van and on my person.
Have a great day, Steve

Agreed, we have suggested this, although the sales staff that sells direct never needs to show one, so I guess it is up to the person who is proficient at selling product can get around it. The brochure is pretty inclusive listing the coverage, so in my opinion, having a copy is better than not having one. The first time I saw one was when I purchased a warranty, and with 30 day refund period, it was not an issue with me.
Good luck, Mike

It's great to hear all the positive feedback on WFL. Just a couple of quick notes to point out. I too have had great success so far with WFL. Here is what i've seen so far.
Give credit to the IT guys who have done a great job in just a matter of a few weeks to get the sites going. Keep in mine this wasn't even supposed to be up and running until later this year. When I got a call Jan 24th at 3:30pm est, only about 15 people knew there was a site up. It was supposed to be a test to see what people thought. But rumor spread so quick that in less than one hour later there were over 100 people who signed up. I was on the road when I got the call. By the time I got to my computer and signed up, thre were already 102 people signed up.
Since then I have sponsored 206 people. My Binary has 2,305 people. My 3 x 10 has 719 people I have 42 sales in my group I have earned $840 so far I have a personal enrollee who just signed up 7 car dealers last week. I will earn residuals off every single warranty that they sell.
I recommend learning the true way to sign up car dealerships. That is what we will be teaching Sunday on our team call. If you learn this way and go out and do it, I believe you can make $1500 a month easily off one dealership. All you got to do is go by and give them doughnuts every now and then.
So keep in mine, there's three parts to this business. 1. Having dealerships sell it for you. ( They already know how) 2. Sell it yourself. (Put a car magnet on your car ) 3. Build a organization to sell it for you. (Train them to sell to car dealerships)
If you sign up just 1 car dealership a month, in 90 days your income could be over $4500 a month! And your doing nothing but bringing them doughnuts every now and then to keep them selling.
You should never approach a car dealer with the warranty approach. You look like a salesmen. You approach them with the "your losing money" approach. If you do it right, YOU WILL SIGN THEM UP EVERYTIME!!! Be on the call SUNDAY. If your not part of our group, then send me an email and I'll let you listen in.
I'll post more on this subject later.

Good points,
Yes, I agree, this one has all the potential of being a huge winner given the recession and higher price of everything related to oil. This will play right into our hands as more poeple worry about their jobs, price of gas, car repairs as they decide to hang onto their vehicles longer, so I see this as recession proof business.
As to going to dealers, you really have to know the industry or someone in it to go that route. The salespeople may like it to send out a note to all their customers which are nearing the end of their factory 36/36K or 50/50K warranties, but dealer principals generally want most of the profits, and they already sell high profit extended warranties for the most part, many factory mandates.
What you want to do is get in front of as many average car owners as possible, so the mechanics are a better focus group which I have found more interested. The auto detail shops, car washes, and tire shops have been a huge success for me.
Used car dealers who specialize in higher mileage vehicles are also much better suited for our warranty given we accept higher mileage vehicles while our competition doesn't. Also, people selling cars, it is an ace in the hole for those who have no warranty left, just offering our deal to new potential owners may be enough to make sale. I know extended warranties sell cars, so don't ignore all the people selling cars too. I got the best reponse by posting a small ad in used car section of newspapers.
Good luck to all, Mike

I agree.
Go after the "ma and pop" car dealers who do not have the backing that a big dealership would have. I'm not saying you can't get in the big dealerships, but it will be a harder sell. They have deals with the manufacturers warranty companies. The little guy does not have that privledge bacause they don't move enough vehicles.
Use the "added value" approach. They can offer a warranty with every car plus use the $2,000 gift card as an incentive to purchase NOW.. $500 a pop is a nice chunk of change to a small dealer. Just selling 2 warranties a week is an extra $52,000 A YEAR IN PROFIT.
It just makes sense to go after the car dealers because you don't have to teach them to sell it. ***example: if you own a company that fixes leaky roofs, who would you hire?? ROOFERS! Same here. You don't want distributors, You want sellers! Who cares how many distributors you have. That means nothing! If no one sells then you don't get paid. Most networkers don't want to sell, they want to build. To me it just makes sense to get the money coming in first and then the building part will take care of its self.
More later.

My feelings exactly. Earn that $500.00 commission by selling. That new distributor will be signing up to get their own warranty, save the $500.00 and get the gift card, then never hear from them again. How much have ya made? The used car lots, Mom & Pop repair shops and individuals willing to put forth the effort to sell this and earn the $$$$$$$ is who you want. JMHO !!!!!
Have a great day.......

Be on our special team call on Sunday and you will hear from one of my "sellers" (distributors). He is signing up car dealers left and right. His approach will more and likely make him over 10k in the next 60 days. I hope everyone really gets this point. FIND "SELLERS"! Get the money coming in and then it will be easy to build your team. If you made a goal to just get one car dealership a month, you will have a huge income coming in. Also, be a positive leader!! There are too many "whiners" out there. Usually the whiners aren't doing anything anyway. Go after confident people. Not cocky confidence but people who don't need their hand held to do something. Go after very busy successful people. They know how to get things done. If anyone needs the number for sundays call (mar 16th), give me an email at [email protected]
Talk to you all later, JV

Interesting,
Nice to read how many are growing their business and the different stratiegies. No doubt in my mind, all the suggestions have merit, but like everything, different strokes for different folks. lol
Personally, from my decades in business, most people can't sell, and most hate to be sold, so when I look at networking, I take this into consideration. FREE is the most powerful word in sales industry, so I like the strategy of FREE distributorships with WFL. This is the first step to a sale, and even though some think it is not who you want to go after, I disagree.
Simply put, most will never make a single sale in their home businesses, and this has been true since MLM first started. Sad, but true, so whenever I even look at any programs and evaluate them, I look at a program which 99% who can't make a sale can succeed in without losing a dime. How many programs fit this catagory? Very, very few.
Signing up FREE distributors is setting you up for success, it is as simple as that. Sure, I could focus on sales at this point, and it will put money into my pocket now, but I don't look at now as much as I do, next year, the year after and next decade. Being short sited is not where the real money is in WFL.
Granted, sales is where the money is, but I look at things differently and I would prefer to have a tens of thousands of distributors sharing the concept rather than a couple super salespeople. This is the unique aspect of WFL, you can indeed easily have tens of thousands of distributors, and if each has no potential of losses, no obligation, no purchase required, the will not drop out, and attrition is the number one killer in all MLM's, so WFL is indeed different concept.
If you look at the facts, and as most who have been in MLM for years, you know how many fail to do anything, but with WFL, with thousands under you, how many will trip over a sale, if not their own purchase, a friend, relative, associate at work, even a stranger, and why, because they are not selling it, they are simply telling it, big difference. Sure, it may not happen instantly, but when these thousands of people wake up to the power of ths hybrid compensation plan, where anyone can succeed, lets all compare results a year from now on strategies. lol
Good luck to all, Mike

Different strokes for different folks:
No problem with signing up affiliates, build your team. But make sure they do not purchase their policy right away. Have them sell 3 or 4, to get the cash in their pocket. Then once you get your commissions in hand, go ahead and make your purchase. If your affiliate buys, most likely they will not pay for it up front. So therefore, any warranties they sell, commissions goes to paying for their policy. So if all your downlines do the same thing, it will be months before you see anything in your pocket. Especially if you bought one yourself.
Recruit them in, have them sell, get money in hand first, before you buy your own. Use your commissions to pay for it in full minus your $500.00 commission plus minus $200.00 for payment in full. Then collect your $2000.00 gift card to boot.
Car lots will love this. They won't be selling affiliates, but warranties, and they will sell it for complete payment at time of the sale. They will want their commission in full in 40 days. Therefore you will get your commission a lot sooner than later.
This will be the test of time. Commissions being paid out to affiliates for selling and not be credited to their account for buying and not receiving any commissions until their policy is paid for. Multiply this by a few thousand affiliates. Commissions having to be actually paid out and not credits.
JMHO

Interesting,
I don't know about the "make sure they do not purchase their policy right away"??? How would you do that??? The key to success in any business is people, and the more poeple, the more potential that they will need an extended warranty, so why would I want to make sure they don't purchase policy right away?
I am building a team first, as I always look for long term results, not the usual flash in the pan deals which are here today, gone tomorrow. This is a about numbers, the more you have spreading the word, the better your sales will be. Granted, some need money immediately, and maybe they do need to sell a few to pay for their own, but with no interest low down payment option, I can't see why anyone would not want to make a purchase as soon as they could, and then let the numbers work to make the payments.
If everyone did this, as example, they would certainly be earning more than the monthly payment to cover their own warranty, so I don't see why I would want to tell them not to purchase right away. The sooner a purchase is made, the better it will be for everyone, and at this point, following the above strategy, everyone will be earning an income sooner than they will not purchasing. I would not want to give up the managers matching bonus for even one sale in my group, and given the credit card payment is not due for up to 45 days, buying immediately is the smart decision in my opinion.
Good luck to all, Mike

Update:
Management is listening to our input, and this is rare in this business. With the only true hybrid plan in the industry combining the best attributes of the binary, forced matrix, uni-level, direct sales, and now the infamous 1-up is employed in system covering every known compensation plan in the industry, all rolled into one.
Simply put, those on the fence will have a decision to make until April 15th if they want to earn the $500. commission on their own personal sale. After that, it will roll up to the workers above, being paid to the first qualified distributor above you, your sponsor or above, so like the 1-up, this new feature rewards those who are working the business, and I like that for it will allow us all to earn even more given only one sale qualifies you for a full year.
Good luck to all, Mike

Update:
Just brought on a woman who was selling to AAA members, and she said most members did not qualify for her companies warranty, so she found WFL and can now accommodate all those people who were turned away, so for those who are advertising, target all the AAA members who could not get an extended warranty through their membership at any price. Gold mine out there for what we offer, just try it to see for yourself.
Good luck to all, Mike

Update:
Looking good, it appears AAA members are a goldmine. I was using PPC adwords and got top billing under AAA for .10, and then AAA saw my ad next to theirs and they were already on top, obviously, then they too put in adowrds ad and bumped anti to $10.00 per click. Makes you wonder what they are afraid of? LOL
I was promoting the $2,000.00 Cash Gift Card to all AAA members and I ended up with a few sales in first couple days, so evidently from my research and in signing up a former AAA warranty agent which handled AAA members only, Warranties-For-Less offers a better deal, in fact, better because we offer a program for older vehicles which seems to be a dominant factor with AAA members.
They have roadside assistance as their lead in to other products and services, one being extended warranties. We are reverse, we offer warranties and then include roadside assistance and towing. Since our warranties cost less, even without the $2,000.00 cash gift card, and we offer coverage to more vehicles, and since most members have older vehicles, this is why they were so defensive with adwords bid. Live and learn, thought I would share that little tidbit with everyone.
Good luck to all, Mike
