Also, yesterday I received a brand new and sealed Bose Sounddock Portable Digital Music System. The weird thing about it is it had my address, but someone else's name and phone number.

I registered on the website and it shows the package information that I received and has the guy's name that was on the package, which is listed on the website as being a manager. Also, listed is a USPS tracking number.

I followed the steps and marked the package as being 'received', just to see what it says. I then get another e-mail saying a new shipping label was created. So, I logged back into the website and downloaded the new shipping label. I am very suspicious now, because the new shipping label is for Russia. So, apparently, I am supposed to re-ship the item to Russia.

So, am I correct in assuming that this is a scam? Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to list all the information that I have. Thanks!

Hi,

Stay away from this one. It's a scam. I nearly got in trouble for this. The company deals with identity theft and uses other peoples credit card numbers to purchase these items and has them shipped to your door. You in turn send them to russia thru USPS. They pay you thru Western Union or something similar. Problem is you will end up being blamed for identity theft as the packages come to you.

If you started already please make sure you keep all of the invoices and shipping info on where you sent the package to in Russia along with those emails you received to sign up.

Hope this helps you.

I have been contacted before about similar jobs that turned out to be scams, so I suspected this one was as well. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Jalynn,

If I may ask, how did you find out they were involved with identify theft?

Thanks and regards

I agree with the others. This sounds like a scam to me as well.
