I want to work from home but my only skill is typing. I thought about Google Work From Home but want to know if it is a scam or legit? They want $1.97 to sign up and after 4 days, will cost me $127. I don't have the money to invest that much for nothing.

Don't bother with Google Work From Home. These businesses (read scams if you like), try to lure you in by saying that you just type in some words and voila...you are making money.
It is not as simple as just typing a few words. It will mean keyword research, effective online marketing strategies and techniques and more.
You should stay away from anyone using the Google name in their pitch to you. Google has absolutely nothing to do with these companies and has recently started to take them to court.

Thank you so much for your reply. I thought that it sounded too good to be true. Any advice on what I should look for? I recently took a medical billing and coding class because that promises home on-line work too but so far I have found nothing - everyone wants experience and I am fresh out of school.

There are a number of people that work from home by working for some companies like West or GE. You can find out more about them by searching on this forum.
These are legit companies. I don't work for them myself so I could not tell you how much the average person would earn.

If you need a JOB, then the opportunities are limited, but if you want an opportunity to make good money working from home then the you have limited avenues.
It's not that google work from home is a scam, its just that there no instant wealth system that is going to provide "everyone" a lottery ticket that give them home cashflow of massive proportions.
Now can you make money advertising on google, yes. Do you just type and put in your text for the ad, yes, but does that instantly equal money no.

google is finally taking action, i was wondering about that.
its about time, a lot of people have got lured into that. then you read them on the complaints board, about the bigger charges on their credit cards.

for Lablover.. my sister worked at home for a hospital doing medical billing and coding for about 15 years.. it was a good job... you just have to make all the rounds at the hospitals and doctors offices to find work, but keep trying, you'll find a job with them eventually.. Now, about Google Work From Home. I made a mistake and gave them my phone number and couldn't get them to stop calling me. Any body that desperate to find warm bodies doesn't sound good to me. I don't think they are really affliated with Google, but I may be wrong. I turned them down and now glad I did..

The keyword is "opportunity"...usually used to try to recruit someone into a MLM type system......learned that about 40 years ago.....some people do make money at it, most do not.....
Whatever your objection might be, the MLMer has been trained to defeat the objection......
There are legitimate internet connected businesses available.......read threads on work at home forums........search Google to find some....
You do not want to pay to get a job...always a bad sign.... Stay at it.... you will find some......

lablover If you're new to trying to make money online, I would be very careful with this. I would suggest looking into affiliate marketing and promoting some affiliate products from Clickbank. You'll have to be a little creative with this but there are many ways to promote affiliate products for free. With Google you could be racking up fees from their Adwords program. Now I'm not saying that the Google program is not a good one, just that you have to be careful.
