Fiverr.com is certainly the most popular one. But there are others as well:
Tenbux - which has $5 and $10 gigs.
Then there is Zeerk and Dealerr which have gigs from $5 through $100.
All '.coms'.
Many more as well...

People offer all kinds of jobs for a price. You can use these to outsource marketing tasks as well: build Facebook, Twitter etc. fans; spin articles;
provide back-links post reviews; etc.
Endless, bound only by legal concerns, and your own imagination.

You can get instant payments to your paypal account, and it looks like a good way to get quick cash if you can find something EZ to do that is in demand.
"Quick" meaning, you'll have to set it all up first - know your market, service, and other preparations - depending on what you are offering.
Then, it's just a matter of marketing your service and turn around time.

I didn't see any mention of it here but I am sure people have heard of it.

So,
any experiences to share?

I am just getting started with it myself...

Another place to find gigs is Amazon's Mechanical Turk - but they are called HIT's. The HIT values range from a few cents to several dollars or more. Of course the tasks range in difficulty and the amount of time it takes to complete them.

Blessings,
Angie

Thanx for that bit of useful information Angie!

There are a lot of gig sites out there.
More than i can find on my google searches.

And some scam issues as well.
To quote from an email I got from Zeerk.com:

"It has been brought to our attention that Gigtask.com is spamming some Zeerk customers and trying to solicit business by sending illegal emails in the name of Zeerk.com.
Zeerk has no relationship with Gigtask and we advice you to refrain from doing business with such newbie companies engaged in illegal business practices."

Scamming, on a GIG site!
Is nothing sacred?

Completed my 100th Gig on Fiverr,
I do gigs that require little time to send to the client.

Downloads, short ads etc etc.

I have 9 Live Gigs but 3 make 85% of the income. The money is really pocket money and I use the revenue to Outsource work and buy bargains.

I really like theses Gig sites, but yes there are some scams, you can buy the Fiverr clone script and start your own for like $10!

Take care all

ODA

I agree that some sites could be scams and so you will need to watch out for them. There are lots of good ones and ones in specific niches though. I don't think gig sites that follow Fiverr directly with their "fun and quirky" types of gigs will be able to succeed in the marketplace. I think the money is in the niches.

Also, for those who don't know, there's also this place called Gig Of the Day... it was just launched recently. Kinda like a Groupon with Fiverr site. You can advertise your gigs there too.
