Hi Lorna
Welcome to this forum
and to Global Verge!

Jeff, I read the article posted and I have no knowledge that GV lost their merchant accounts.
We are still allowing people to use credit cards to join, but also have made available for members to sign up using ACH.
As you know merchant processors charge a % of each transaction run through a company and the fees for these transactions can become exorbitant.

I do agree and endorse the practice of keeping your personal accounts separate from your business accounts.

cheers,
Cynthia

I think the concept is neat, however the price can't beat my unlimited domestic and worldwide roaming service of $39.

Correct me if I am wrong regarding the price comparison for international members.

Giblinker
I'm interested.
Who is your service provider?
&
BTW - where do you live?

Hi Wapahm...

I live in Guam, a United States Territory. My service provider Marianas Cable Vision (MCV) and Guam Telephone Authority (GTA).

I am not sure they have external/international services. The services to are specific to the people of Guam.

I guess you would have to live here to gain the benefits.

thanks for the fast reply Giblinker.

it's really great that the people of Guam get an awesome deal with their phone providers.
Is this hard wired (home phone) or wireless phone service?

not that it matters to me, because I don't live in Guam, just curious.

cheers

http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9135692/Zer01_s_mobile_offer_Too_good_to_be_tr ue_?taxonomyId=13

People, please do some research. Computer
World certainly did, and it does not look good.

wapahm, the people that did the research
I read were dead on. They revealed most of
the hype GV was promoting well before this
article came out.

So maybe you should do your research before
buying into a company's hype machine.

yes, yes people DO YOUR RESEARCH!

I have read the above article and is caused me some concern, but not so much that I'm ready to throw in my towel.

in addition to above article I ran across this podcast by Troy
from the MLM Help Desk.

These guys have NO vested interest in Global Verge/Buzzirk but have made it their mission to keep MLM companies honest.

So you see Brent, we could all look at only the negative reports or we could look at both sides and make our own opinions and decisions.

If I'm wrong then I haven't lost much, but if I'm right, then I'll be a happy camper.

BTW Brent aren't you with Zurvita and isn't Zurvita launching their own telecommunication plan?

cheers

not sure if the above link will be live or not....maybe one day I'll figure out how to make links clickable

Wow....did you even watch that video, or
did you just want to pump up GV by giving
a link to something that raises even more
questions regarding GV?

Maybe you should go watch it.

And yes, I'm with Zurvita, yes, we have
launched a REPUTABLE product...

Where's GV's?

In a month for now, we'll all be waiting....

Listen: I talked to a friend of mine who lost
most of her organization (in a company other
than mine, mind you) to GV...and all of them
are beginning to realize the HUGE mistake
they made. But in the meantime, it hurt
her organization.

The bottom line is, as the article points
out, the claims of what the product GV has
simply will not pan out. If you do not have
several of the big carriers on board, which
it does not appear they do, then it is doomed
to fail.

If you are right, then you are right.

If you are wrong, then you have thrown your
integrity out by not heading the warning signs...

..and even worse, leading others down this
misleading path.

Brent

P.S. I find it funny that on Zer01's website, one
of the phones they have with the keypad up is
nothing more than a screenshot of the iPhone's
keypad. My guess is that phone does not even
exist.

Hello again Brent and yes I did watch the video.

I also listened and heard the promising things Tony had to say about this company.

As far as me throwing away my integrity, I think that's a BOLD and RUDE statement coming from a person who doesn't know me.
It seems you want to attack me, because I haven't come around to your kind of thinking........shame on you!

I have put out information I feel people would want to see, read and learn about, I don't have to "pump it up."
Placing information, about an opportunity, on a forum for people to go research is what these forums are for.

again, if I'm wrong then I haven't lost much (including my integrity), but if I'm right then we have a good thing going.

to everyone else researching Global Verge/Buzzirk or any other opportunity, please continue to do so and by no means allow others to determine your future.

keep on keeping on and as long as you don't give up on yourself then you are already successful!

peace,
Cynthia

No, I'm not attacking you because you don't
think the way I think. But the hype and spin
you and others are putting on this company
is just not good.

Listen....I really hope this happens, I really do.

Why?

Because it will be good for the industry of
network marketing.

The worst thing that can happen is for GV
to not pan out with this technology and follow
the path of all of the previous companies this
management has had.

But it does not look promising. And having
the hype and spin that is constantly going
around this is hurting people, leading people
down a bad path....

My opinion: Until the company comes out
with a product, they should consider freezing
taking in any more reps. Sure, I know they
have other products, but I think Len Clements
put it best in his most recent podcast (anyone
looking into GV should go listen to it at
http://www.marketwaveinc.com.

And again, Cynthia, I do hope it works out.

Because if it doesn't, it is just another black
eye for network marketing.

Brent

Brent,

There is enough business for everyone, so there is no need to bash another company without knowing the first hand information, just second hand opinions, and there will be plenty of them as this is an industry changer.

So much has been said, and it was stated from start it was a controlled rollout to e-associates only, not retail or to general public. They expected problems, but with 30K registering in June alone, it broke their back, a nice problem to have, but one that has caused concerns, including mine since I ordered service and I have been waiting on this technology for years, with many promises of new wireless, yet none have delivered.

Will Buzzirk Zero1 and GlobalVerge be the one, it sure sounds like it, but when is the question, and if it is next month, or a few months, I don't care, as long as it is real, and with all the misinformation floating about and the competition bashing at every chance, it just makes the whole industry look bad. Spreading bad news is easy, yet whatever your motivation, it makes you look like a bottom feeder, just hoping a company fails so you can pick up the pieces, and most can see through it like Cyntihia did.

Simply put, I have been in the industry since start, as a reseller, and I have seen it all. All I am seeing is misinformation and speculation to date. Much of it already debunked, so I for one will not bash the competition and wait for my phone to decide if service is superior to competition. All I know is all the rest stink in my area, including my broadband connection speeds, so time will tell, but take it from me, spreading rumors and second hand dirt serves no one. Good luck with your deal as well.

Success to all,

So are you saying the Computer World
article is not correct?

I'm not posting "incorrect" information or
opinions. I'm posting 3rd party, unbiased
information. Computer World has no beef
in this...they have nothing to gain or lose
by doing the research and writing the
information.

Same with Troy at MLMHelpDesk.com.

As I stated in my last post (and maybe
you should read it), I want this company
to succeed. I'm less concerned about
"competition" as I am about the way
people view the industry.

(Besides, I dobut wireless will make up
a ton of my business....I figure our VoIP
will).

Troy at MLMHelpDesk.com put it best in
his post here:

http://www.mlmhelpdesk.com/2009/07/24/global-verge-reps-say-i-am-biased-against-zer01 -and-buzzirk-leadership/#more-602

Brent

P.S. I don't post opinions much, but I
do read a lot of 3rd party sources. That
is where I'm pulling my information from....

...companies that nothing to gain or to
lose.

And here are just a few of the sources
I've read about (honestly, I'm a computer
guy, so the technology sounds great. But
what I've turned up in research and the
hype that has surrounded this is what
is causing me to raise concerns....as well
as seeing one person I personally know
lose an entire organization on this):

http://arstechnica.com/telecom/news/2009/03/zer01-uses-voip-for-ersatz-unlimited-mobi le-calls-plus-data.ars

http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/168872/after_report_questions_service_z er01_parent_strips_web_site.html

http://www.networkworld.com/news/2009/072009-zer01s-mobile-offer-may-be.html

http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20090721/1746225615.shtml

http://blog.laptopmag.com/zer01-mobile-ceo-addresses-scam-and-vaporware-allegations (yes, a positive one for you guys)

I've done more than listening to others and
definitely done more than listening to the
company leadership and leadership in the
field pimp this.

I do hope it works out for you guys. Heck,
if the quality is as good as Zer01 makes it
sound to be, I'd definitely be interested in
being a customer (I talk a lot).

But as I've said, after all I've read, and
knowing what I know about technology,
I'm having a hard time believing it is coming
soon.

Couple of years down the road, maybe.

Brent
