Hello, everyone.....

Was SO grateful to find this forum. I'm brand-spankin' new......and rarin' to go! Have made a whopping $2.86 in three days (grin); but after the 100% match funds are credits to my account, I'll have $4000 for ad packs.

What I'm not quite understanding are the referrals deal. Though I've listened to a few audio presentations, I don't think I'm listening to the right one.....can someone help by posting a link to whatever is going to explain how referrals/sponsors work?

I'd greatly appreciate it.

I've been sitting in my bed for 5 hours, now, with my little laptop, trying to compute, strategize, and learn.....can't wait until I'm an old-hand and can turn around and help others. I'm greatly excited by the possibilities here....

SO.....thanks for all your info and patience.....and now about that specific link.....(wink).......

I think ASD should have waited until they get the bugs out before showing the Beta Project X. Frequently, it is slow or inaccessable. Hopefully that is something that will be fixed shortly and not something that goes on for months.

So far from what I can see (during the times I can actually get the site to load) , it seems that most companies are ones in which anyone can join as an affiliate. So is ASD merely an affiliate of these companies or have they actually made a special deal with them for something over and above what a regular affiliate would make?

I met the guy today who is leading the IT team putting the ASD Universe site together as well as the ASD site. He is putting in 60 hours a week upgrading the Beta site. They may have to move the site to a different server. He told me since the site was announced yesterday - in one and a half day, it has already had 25,000 hits! Luckily we traded contact info and I got his cell phone number! Nice guy in his 20s.

Hello, I read somewhere in the forum that you could pay ad packages with a credit card by phone. Is it true? Is it safe? If it is, does anyone have the number? Thank you for your help.

I believe that is not true. ASD is currently NOT taking credit card purchases

What is up with the ASD site today? First, it was too slow to do anything with. Then a site would pop up and the bar above would disappear. Then I would get booted off. And trying to connect again - it won't. This is so annoying. Excuses like too many people logging in won't work - because they already changed servers to meet the demand.

In regards to the ASD Offer Universe - I know it is currently in BETA. I hope the programmer changes the website before final launch. Currently, the spaces between each website are large and having to navigate to a different page for every 3 sites is a pain. Spaces between each business are not necessary to pop up a small box on info on the site. For an example - go to www.ctv.ca You will note that the story headlines at the bottom are close together. And a pop up box still comes up to provide a bit of info on the story.

So let's hope that this universe site has the programmer level to make it operate better than it currently does. Look how long ASD's current website has not been able to automate payments, yet someone like Vlane can. In Vlane, payments there show up immediately. I don't have to hunt them down or wait for days.

ASD is adding staff. But is the staff being added simply to deal with all the money coming in or will staff added actually address the long standing problems of customer support and website professionalism/automation????

I know ASD has big ideas but I sometimes wonder if they will ever have their support staff up to acceptable levels with their ticket system answered in 24-48 hours and better website design.

There are a lot of issues with ASD.

First, They can't handle (in my opinion) the exponential growth they are getting. Membership have Doubled over the last 2 weeks.

Their infrastructure is not keeping up with growth.

I'm in contact with the guy who is the Principal Web Page Designer for ASD Offer Universe...he told me that when Bob Cefail announced Project X over the weekend, his IT team was still working on the site!

They only have half the Corporations loaded onto Offer Universe at this time so they still got some time to go before launching this.

So, I would not suggest sending any prospects to Offer Universe at this time...it will be a turn off!

Obviously the system is still significantly run manually. If you look at the latest 100% Promotion Deal, if you want to participate, you have to send in the Money AND send an email to a google email address with the pertinent information. What this means is that there needs to be a body sitting there reading your email and confirming the data...this is not automated and will take weeks to get your Ad Package purchase into their system considering the thousands of cashier checks collected this weekend. I would bet at least 3 weeks with their limited staff.

Having ranted about all that, this company has a bright future

I was at both the Rochester and Las Vegas rallies so have had the opportunity to witness the explosive growth ASD is experiencing. It's going to take time and effort to add and train staff, but once we get thru these hurdles the patient members will be rewarded. On a lighter note, I sent a cashiers check with an info form FedEx on Wed. for Thurs PM delivery and my ad packages were posted in my account and sponsor's account Thursday afternoon! Not bad.

So now late afternoon has arrived and the ASD site is down. So basicly the site has not been operational all day. I thought they had moved to a server that was supposed to handle all the growth. If it is not the server, does ASD not monitor it's website over the weekends?????

I agree with andrewh that the current ASD site is outdated. It needs to be given a crisp undated look - and get rid of the red graphic polka dots that load up. It needs to be automated in all it's processes. I still get the feeling that ASD does not have the programmers necessary to build a more professional looking website. I don't see the professionalism yet in the ASD site nor the Beta universe site ( and yes....I know it is in the beta stage).

So when the ASD site still needs to be automated, why are they talking of the Chinese site? Why not fix what they need to do with the current sites first? I just wish ASD would get their s*** together. ASD has so much potential but they just don't seem to concentrate on vital areas to their growth. Micky Mouse websites just won't appeal to many people. Maybe some of you love the current ASD site - but I just think has an outdated look to it. It needs to be fresh and crisp and scream professional web design.

And the excuse of growth has grown old and stale as a reason for the problems that ASD is experiencing. Why continue growing if they can't handle what they currently have?

The site has been down since this morning and nothing has been posted about it on the news site. It went down while I was right in the middle of surfing and a few days ago I was unable to finish surfing for the day (only got to 15 sites) because the site developed some strange gliche that wouldn't let you surf, kept getting some sort of an error. Guess their server upgrade just wasn't big enough or else their IT dept can't keep up. Who knows this may just be a ploy to prevent having to pay out so much in rebates for the day.

And when they are working on the beta universe site - they need to allow the option for one to maximize the window of the website that one opens. If I were to buy from Stateline Tack - I have to keep moving the site sideways or up or down. Not good enough for easy navigation. One needs the option to maximize the window. I don't want to have to scroll left or right or up and down just to see a webpage that I may be buying products from.

And why dosn't ASD shut down their old website at adsurfdaily.com?
No reason to keep that up and it is a simple process to take it offline.

I am afraid that I have to agree with you on many things on this one Jeff. We have a great company here and one that is treating us all pretty well, top say the least, but we need to get some tidying up done before we go onto the next stage, for the sake of professionalism. This is an advertising business, and we need to make sure that our advertising is available - i.e. that the surfing works!

The Beta Universe site looks pretty good to me for a Beta, and there are some great companies so far, but I wish they would get their new support and accounts people properly trained before they go rushing off onto the next thing. They are gettng loads of new money in - but there is also a lot of new money waiting in the pipeline or backlog!

Equally I would hope to see the programming sorted out properly and then the La Fuente site fully developed, before we go rushing off into China.

This is the first thing they have done that I am dubious about. China may have a large market, but it is also a very difficult one to control from the US, expecially if it is in Chinese!! The La Fuente site is not a problem as there are sufficient bilingual staff at AdSurfDaily to deal with spanish speaking members/advertisers, but a chinese site???

(And as a producer, my only comment is that chinese products are putting a lot of Americans and Europeans out of work, as our companies simply cannot compete with their prices which result from both subsidized production and cheap exploited labour)

What makes ASD better than Revenue Magic? And there are other similar programs like ASD with cash back advertising.

I agree as well...the site design I feel is the one thing that holds me back from talking to people about this.
Today, I told my friend about it and tried showing it to him, and before I could explain what the company was all about, he wouldn't even let me explain. He said he had no doubt in his mind that this was a scam, he said "If this company was for real and were making as much money as it sounds like, why does this website look like something from 1995, even a crappy website for 1995??"
I couldn't convince him to get past the design.
I agree, this company has lots of potential, seems to be growing incredibly well, and could be extremely successful longterm. People are pouring millions into this, out of respect for the members and people who are prospect members, the least they could do is make it more presentable.
I was at the Tampa convention. It was very exciting, tons and tons of people. Everybody seems really positive, and are investing a lot of money into this.
By the way, I can't sign in tonight either, it says my member name is invalid...I believe in this company and the people in charge, but honestly, I think for less than a thousand dollars, they could revamp the whole website and make it gorgeous and reliable.
But anyways, I do think it's a great company, and do expect to see it get better and better.
