That is actually very good news, at least there is a way out (maybe) I got my mail from paypal today quoting the 20 20 programme as the reson why, considering the amount of transactions that I put through Paypal and the 5 or 6 that have gone through this stupid programme I feel really racked off. It appears that something or someone within this programme has done something to really irritate Paypal, if they were to rigorously enforce their policy their must be tens of thousands of users who would be effected.
I will send them a mail once I have calmed down a bit, btw I do think your irritation at Paypal is misplaced, if you get the number of the 20 20 chap please pm me, I would like a word with him!!!!!!

I fully feel PAYPAL is the culprit here. Not only is 2020u, 6x6million and other sites NOT a violation of their AUP but there are TONS of complaints against paypal.
They have frozen MILLIONS of dollars of customer money for 180 days without paying a penny in interest!
They have access to your money just like a bank but they are NOT subject to the laws of the U.S. banking system.
There has been a class action suit against paypal which they had to settle for $9.2million!!!
Google paypal as I have suggested and you will see what I mean.

Actually, 2020u was not what caused paypal to freeze my account.
They surely would have, but they shut me down because of my 6x6million promotions.

Hi maricel,
Would you mind if I ask you that are those transactions only the payments you received from your group through 2020u or also include the payments you paid to 2020u when you signed up?

I finally received some good news from paypal tonight, they are letting me withdraw my funds. If you have had your account permanently limited (that's what happened to me) check the very first email that they sent you, mine said that "if i had funds in my account, that I could withdraw them". Well every way that I tried was shutdown, so I sent them an email stating the obvious that THEY SAID I COULD WITHDRAW my funds, told them I expected a check in the mail within a week and if I didn't receive my funds, my lawyer would be contacted, I cc'd a local law firm in that email, 2 days later I get an email informing that I can indeed withdraw my funds. SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR INITIAL EMAIL if they are holding your funds for 180 days, they may be a way to get them now and not 6 months from now.

In the mail from Paypal they stated that their terms had been breached by using the 20 20 programme, I suppose they meant by receiving money from it as I had 5 sign ups

i spent money on e-mail blasts going to 2020 and none of them can sign up. I tried signing up for e-gold but it wont allow me too. I guess I'll have to find another job soon if things don't turnaround. This ............!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately Paypal has been getting away with this for years, and everyone keeps using them anyway. I joined 2020 myself and I knew better! Anytime any program says anything about "instant payments" and go on and on about the opportunity and nothing about purchasing a product up front you are in paypals eyes a ponzi scheme.
Your are promoting/selling an opportunity to promote/sell an opportunity..a big no-no in paypals eyes. The admin of 2020 should have checked this out before he put up a program that paypal would bring to a screeching halt and cause all of his members to lose their paypal accounts. He should have known better! But like most people who start a program like this..all he saw was dollar signs! As long as everyone keeps using paypal they will continue doing this! If more program owners would thouroughly investigate their payprocessors before they put their programs online they would save themselves and their paying members all these problems. They ALL should avoid paypal at all costs..and then more people would have to follow suit and use other payprocessors as well in order to make money and that would put a huge dent in paypals pockets. By the way my 7 year account with paypal also got limited permanently because of 2020 and I was only in this a week, luckily I never kept much in there because I don't trust paypal but I know quite a few others who lost a LOT of money!

Although I am really cheesed off about this at the end of the day it is spelled out in the Paypal policies, I just did not read them (does anyone) Maybe foolishly I have always taken the accept paypal button as a sign of legitimacy in a programme as I assumed that they would be vetted before accepting Paypal, obviously this is not the case. I still see the income 4 beginners programme plastered everywhere, this must have many more members than 2020 and yet is seemingly ignored. The common thread in all the recent limitations to accounts appears to be 2020. Once they pick up on that they look at someones accounts and then mention the other programmes. I would be interested to hear if anyone has been limited purely for being associated with I4B, maybe Paypal have taken a view on this and decided that they can send a loud message by closing the accounts of 200 people, but can not risk losing 20,000 in one go.

You are so right about that Maricel! It's unfortunate that people will blindly join up with a program that uses paypal thinking that just because they see the paypal button then it must be an OK program with paypal and not really checking it out to find out for themselves.
As we all learned the hard way..this is NOT the case and everyone ends up getting burned sooner or later. So everyone should learn a lesson from this and beware before they jump in and join anything on the internet.

TJamMoneyMan..you should ask questions. There is nothing wrong with that! Everyone should! That is the ONLY way to make the right choice FOR YOU whether to join something or avoid it. You should always ask questions and follow your gut instincts. After all it's YOUR money you are risking and no one but you can make that decision.

One friend of mine just got notification from paypal that his funds has been confiscated and his account closed permanently! Where I only got the message that my account was permanently limited and will get any money owed me as much as 180 days.

I suppose I was lucky then, I always spent my Paypal balance on other things, apparantly in another thread TJ has had his account restored. Must say I am still really cheesed off about the whole thing, but if anything good has come of this it will give a warning to others to be careful when signing up to anything that accepts Paypal.
BTW TJ LCM uses other payment methods and does not have a business model anywhere near the same as 2020

It looks like the 2020unlimited pages are functional again if you updated your new payment processors..they are using e-gold and safepay. So if you want to continue with 2020 you just update your options on your comstat page and your page will be up and functional again.. If not you do nothing and your account will automatically be deleted after 1/1/08.
